Vacation Homes Only / Nick Stewart Refused to refund $ for vacation rental Beverly Hills CA

January 2022 I booked a 2 bdrm/2b (handicapped accessible) vacation condo in Hawaii through Nick Stewart, Managing Director.  When Nick wouldn’t provide a contract this was a red flag. A week later,  I was informed that the owner had rented out that week. Nick said he would find a replacement unit but it never happened. Though this vacation rental was listed as non refundable, Nick texted that I would receive a 100% refund. Needless to say, it’s now Dec 2023 and I’m still waiting for my refund. I filed with BBB and my case is “unresolved”. I informed Nick that I was filing in Small Claims court. He was a no show, so I was awarded the judgment. Nick denies being served and he was very upset that I was awarded more than the original booking and is refusing to pay. He said he will take me to court for slander, libel, etc. I filed with the FTC last week and will be contacting Consumer Protection.

Unfortunately, there are many unresolved complaints with this company.  These vacation rentals are approx $4595 per week.  It's no longer just about the money, it's the principle.  We, the consumers, need to be protected from this type of fraudulent business practice! Lesson learned is that I need to do my due diligence.

Address listed for this business is actually a P.O. Box. This company also goes by the name of Worldwide Vacation Rentals. Neither business names are licensed in the state of California.
