Todays Rant.
I urge others to complain to Walmart Corporate at 800 Walmart. Today I stopped off at the Centerville Utah Walmart. They were selling a printer for 19.00 but were out of them. I called the Layton Utah Walmart and asked if they had the same printer.

They did and I told them I would be coming to get it. Never in a million years would I have imagined that there would be a price difference. Layton Utah Walmart wanted 34.99 for the same item. I asked for a manger and the woman, using this term loosely, informed me that Walmart doesn't price match. I told her its a f**king Walmart. She said they dont price match. Well I promptly left all the s**t I had piled up in the self checkout and walked out.

So I just spoke to a man from the customer service department at 800 Walmart. He stated to me that price differences are at the discretion of the management. WOW f**kING WOW. #f**kwalmart. #walmartsucks. #walmartdiscriminates. #walmartiscrooked.

So I informed the man on the phone that I thought it was bullsh*t. Centerville Utah is a nicer area with wealthier individuals. Layton Utah not so much. It has a huge diverse ethnic population and most people are poor or struggling. So why is it that the nicer areas get better prices and the poor areas are raped for GOD knows what kind of prices.

Also this Walmart is in proximity to Hill Air Force Base. So one can only assume WALMART IS RAKING IN THE DOLLARS FROM OUR HARD EARNED MILITARY PERSONNEL THAT STRUGLE IN SO MANY WAYS. #WALMARTRIPPINGOFF MILITARYFAMILIES. I am ranting about this in hopes this post is shared. I am for the record completely done with Walmart. I will never set foot in a Walmart ever again. I will continue to shop at amazon. #putwalmartoutofbusiness.

Before today I had no idea this was a thing. My brother bought over the counter medicine last week at the Centerville Utah Walmart and istwas $10 cheaper than Walmart in Layton Utah. Walmart is a corporation not a franchise. This is price gouging, and it unethical and immoral. Join me in boycotting Walmart.#boycottwalmart.

Walmart does not care about poor people or poorer areas. Give them the boot!
Rant over. FYI I am writing a formal complaint to the FTC for all the good it will do. #WALMARTISEVIL

For someone who talks about morals and ethics, you are one of the most vulgar people who I have seen post on this site.  If you displayed even a fraction of the attitude you showed here to the Managers and Customer Service people, it is no wonder they didn't do anything for you.  Courtesy in your case may have gone a long way to having them want to help you, instead of them probably just wanting to get you out of their face.

With your attitude and extreme lack of detail, I wouldn't doubt that your comparisons weren't exactly apples to apples and you are leaving out a lot of details that you just decided to ignore.

I wonder though, based on your post you actually state you are from a location that is closer to the Layton store and you would have had to travel a significantly longer distance to go to the Centerville one.  In fact there appears to be 3-4 other Walmart’s all closer to you than the Centerville store.  If this printer was that important, why didn't you try those stores as well?

That printer may no longer cost $19 when it’s back in stock. Merchants are under no obligation to price match other locations. The FTC has more important issues than to address your inane complaint. Tell us what law Walmart has violated.

Your use of vulgar language conflicts with your comments about morality and demonstrates your inability to discuss the matter as an adult. You are an unpleasant customer and Walmart won’t miss your business.

What an idiot.  No store is going to price compete against itself, whether it's Walmart, or Target, or any other store.  If you want to price compete with another Walmart, then that's on you to do.  If you don't understand why a Walmart won't compete against itself, I will use your own words:

Walmart is a corporation not a franchise.

There, now you said that.  Let me explain what that means (since you don't) and why you are an idiot:

Since it's a corporation, they have no obligation or desire to price compete because they are then competing against itself.  Now, if Walmart's were franchises, it might be a different story.  You might see one franchisee compete against another for low price.  But since it it's a corporation with stores all over the country, then why should they?  The corporation isn't going to compete against itself.  If you don't understand that, I can write this in crayon for you and perhaps draw some nice pictures.

The reason you can't do that at Amazon is, of course, Amazon only has an internet presence to shop, not brick and mortar stores, so you get one price.  Of course, you can always go to walmart.com - you can get one price there as well, because it is the internet arm of the store, just like Amazon.com.  Just like Target.com.  If Amazon had brick and mortar presences (and they will soon), then you could not price compete against Amazon's various stores because....uh...they are also a corporation, and not a franchise.

The reason people don't like Walmart has nothing to do with your complaint, largely because your claim is completely stupid.  People complain about Walmart because it (a) drives out smaller retailers from a city when one opens up, and (b) pays its people less than a "living wage" whatever the heck that means.  Now, you could pay higher at a smaller store, but why?  So the people that work there can also make less than a living wage, whatever that means?

Please go away.  You were not ripped off.  It's not an opinion - it's a fact!!

The best thing to do is quit shopping at Walmart altogether, if that is possible. They are higher than other stores on most of what they sell anyway. Walmart has convinced everyone that they are the lowest price store. They are NOT. Target is cheaper than Walmart on many, many items.

I have not been in a Walmart in at least 10 years and don't intend to ever go back in one. What you ran into is common at Walmart. I have heard all the Walmarts here do the same thing. Prices are different at every store.

Best thing, don't give them your business unless you absolutely have to. They are crooks, they sell junk and they treat their employees like crap. They are evil.

First you curse the people at the "manger" then you do the same with the 1-800 rep. Just shows that YOU have no class, no integrity and are using the "poor people" excuse because you did not get what you wanted. Guess what?

IF you are so POOR what are you doing buying a printer that requires expensive ink and have internet because the POOR people I work with do not have these luxuries - they only care about a home and buying food, medication and being able to see a Dr. Guess your priorities are just skewed and NO I do not work for this company and YES I have the right to rebut a report on a PUBLIC website.
