I first met Bill in 2016, and he promised to marry me. He is 2 years younger than me. I am a widow in my late 70s. I was lonely and my husband had died in 2014. He backed out of marrying me twice, after I spent time and money planning the wedding, and I had already given him about $250k as an investment in his business, which came to nothing. Over the next 4 years he conned out of $500k more, including persuading me to purchase land for him to hunt on. He knows I have some memory problems and I trusted him to help manage my affairs.

My late husband left me a good deal of money, and by taking advantage of my confusion from widow's fog, and my problematic memory, he has damaged my well being. I know that the authorities have been called on him twice over this, and I really wanted to believe that he loved me, or even cared about me as a friend. I allowed him to work for me and draw payment as a caregiver from my long term care insurance policy, but he rarely did anything for me, even insisted I pay him separately for work when he occasionally did do something for me.

Once, when I was having confusion and memory issues, I think he persuaded me to withdrawal over $375k from my trust account, and then the next month, I am not sure, but I think he drove me to the bank and persuaded me to go inside and withdrawal it all in cash or a cashiers check for him. I know that it went missing on that day, and I've never seen it since. That is not even part of the $750k that I know he conned me out of.

My friends have tried to help, but every time he says such nice things to me and tells me he cares about me, that I just can't bring myself to call the authorities on him. I don't want this to happen to anyone else, so please somebody turn this man in!

I am afraid of him sometimes because he has guns and knives. He has threatened me at least once that I can remember. I have tried telling him no, but he just keeps convincing me that I should give him money. It all makes sense at the time I am talking to him, and then later I think about it and it makes no sense.

He just keeps wanting more and more money. And he seems to constantly be in debt. I know he's been in prison for fraud before. Everyone tells me he is no good, I just can't seem to being myself to turn him in. He has tried to keep me from talking to my friends about him.

This man is a con artist, don't ever believe him! He will try and get you to write him personal checks, convince you to let him borrow your credit card, and find some way to persuade you to withdraw cash from your bank for him.
