On the date of 05/25/2024, my wife and I attended one of Windham Club presentation at one of the Windham Club Bonnett Creek in Orlando, Florida. I was given an offer to sign up for additional points of 126,000 per year and to have a Deed on the time share property for a net purchase price of $93,239.00. We received Trade Equity of $12,215.00 and down payment which is Line of Credit of $7,984.00
Our payment prior to this so called was $610.00 plus maintenance fee of $220.00 for a total of $830.00 per month. The new upgraded payment is $1,176.04 plus maintenance fee of $286.13 for a total of $1,462.17.
Two things,
Number one: which was deceptively explain to us. It was explained the $1,176.04 monthly would go toward the down payment line of credit for six months, that was a false selling statement. We were never told an additional payment was going need to be paid for the down payment.
Number two: It was explained that we get a maintenance credit for the $426,000 points you get every year. The credit annually would be $2,130.00 annually and which be $177.50 monthly that would off set the monthly fee $286.13 ( $286.13 x 12 = $3,433.56 ) and that would leave month fee of $108.63.
It was explained to us that this would improve our financial situation with the Time Share Company by the Maintenance Credit we would receive and that Deed would be better us and would easier for us get rid of the time share if we needed too.
These all deceptive sale practices, this kind of taking advantage of people needs to stop. I am senior citizen, what can be done about this. I am tired of the lies. Anytime that we have upgrade, their has always things told us that are untruths. How many have deceived. This needs to stop, They lock you in and you can’t get out. Do not buy a timeshare from Wyndham.

Yes, YOU WERE HOSED...JUST LIKE EVERYBODY WHO GETS INTO A STUPID TIMESHARE! Why do you think it is so hard to sell a used time share which often go for pennies on the dollar??? Secondly, what exactly did you sign? You keep saying these terms were not "explained" to you. Did you sign the tongue of the salesman or DID YOU SIGN A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT? Any and all of the terms and conditions of this INCREDIBLE BAD DEAL were explained ON THE CONTRACT. I'll bet you didn't even bother to READ what you were signing BEFORE you signed it and now you come here to blame them because of your double lack of common sense...NEVER get into a time share and ALWAYS read what you are about to sign.
