Don't fall for their scam. You don't need this to be a successful mobile notary.
I purchased this testing and certification course on March 7, 2013 to earn a certification from 123Notary. Unfortunately I bought into the false promises on thier website. After attempting to go through the online program, I discovered that there were glitches in the system that did not allow full usage of the drag and drop feature which is critical to determining if the answers were correct. If you are unable to click, drag and drop the answers in the designated boxes, there is no way to tell if you are getting the answers correct thus impeding the ability to learn the topic and pass the test at the end of the program to earn a certificate. I'll also note that there are numerous misspellings and typo's in the text of this program to where you cannot make out some of the words and answers. I emailed Jeremy a few times with no response. On March 13th I called the office and spoke with Carmen Towles, 323-734-2494, who identified herself an assistant to Jeremy. She attempted to help by telling me to just take the exam and forwarded a few test passwords to practice taking the exam. She also admitted that there were glitches in the system and that the test will only show 14 of the 15 questions to answer. I tried the online test and it was marking correct answers wrong, didnt give options to answer under multiple choice, and after it all, continued to tell me that I failed the test when I indeed did pass. On March 14, 2013 I received the following response from Jeremy:

I apologize,
But programming is very busy, and can not look into this issue now. Just work with what you have, and you can ask me if you have any specific questions.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Belmont

Nice answer....he doesn't have time and just work around it. He ad time to take my money though. The problem is you can't work around it as it's a major part of the system and moving forward to the testing portion.
Since I never heard back from Jeremy after clearly passing the test....but the system telling me I didn't, I figured I'd just give it another try. So after I waited the 6 days as instructed by the system, and investing several more hours, I concluded that the system has too many glitches to give an accurate pass. The test are all multiple choice and there are questions with NO answers! Seriously, you get a question but no answers and yes, it's automatically marked wrong and counts against you. You have no option to answer. I copied the last test I took where I only missed 2 questions, which is what it tells you is the max you can miss, and it still indicated that I failed. I emailed this to Jeremy and requested a full refund. I've never heard back from Jeremy except for his message above. I called Carmen on March 27, 2013 and she was very defensive and acted as if she has nothing to do with the business.though her name is clearly on the company website and her cell phone number. I requested a full refund from her and she quickly told me that I needed to wait to hear from Jeremy.which I probably never will. This appears to be an online scam setup to take money and never deliver the goods or services promised. Besides, I've found that based on how these guys operate and treat paying customers, it's more harm than good to display any type of affiliation with them.

I bet you yell at waiters too

I am a satisfied customer of 123 Notary for over 10 years. 123 notary sells slots in their notary listing, the higher the listing the more expensive the slot. New notarys, those with litle experience can get listed but the higher listings do not become avaliable unless the notary dies or resignes thie commission. And even then the next guy is given first priorty. Yes this website is a proven powerful money maker for the notaries with high listings and a "go to" source of much sought after talented notaries in all financial fields.
The "Rip offf" 15 question test is to get an icon next to a notary's listing that hardly matters whe someone is choosing to hire a notary. It's the accomplishments and experience listed in the Notary's notes that matters. Yea Jeremy might have been busy trying to put more money in his notaries pockets but a "Rip off"??? Pleeze.
