22 high school students needed transportation for dinner and a dance. Contacted 1800limo.com two weeks in advance, at which point they sent a confirmation e-mail with the full arrangement details.

The day before the event, 1800limo.com sent a cancellation e-mail. Upon calling the company they claimed that they were experiencing "software problems" and the cancellation e-mail was never meant to be sent. They reassured us that there would be transportation available to us as previously arranged. They then sent another confirmation e-mail, again completely detailing the trip.

An hour later another e-mail was sent confirming a 14 passenger vehicle for 22 passengers. Soon after, the limo company called confirming a booking for the original 22 passenger limobus.

The day of the event, the limo company did not show up to the pick-up location. Upon calling the company, they claimed to have called numerous times to inform us of cancellation, which was untrue. They did, instead,e-mail a cancellation a few hours before the event which no one recieved.

After many complaints from parents and students, the students were forced to drive themselves to the restaurant. THis resulted in being late for dinner, which led to the cancellation of dinner reservations, which then ruined the plans for the rest of the night.

Furthermore, the company promised to call, explain and ompensate for thier mistakes the day after the fiasco, but failed to act upon any of the said actions.

Incomplete information on incident

AUTHOR: R. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 30, 2005

The individual(s) who reported this complaint left out quite a bit of information. The original request for the ride was provided as they indicated by email and confirmed. However, the driver of the vehicle refused to accept the booking because all of the passengers were under drinking age. We contacted the passenger and spoke at length with a father of one of the passengers and told them that an adult over the drinking age had to be present throughout the trip. The father said that no adult could be present with the students, but that he would figure out a way to get around the problem. The driver and father had conversations to which we had no specific knowledge of and the driver still would not accept the booking. We attempted to contact the passenger via phone and left a message the day before as well as emailed the cancellation.

There is no justification for the parents reaction since they knew of this 100%.
