This company is the worst company that I have ever dealt with online. This company says they will call your Vet and get the prescription for you. I ended up having to call the Vet and get the prescription called in. 1800petmeds said they didn't get it. I order the Flea/Tick medication which was just a different brand then what I ordered the first time, which was already approved. Flea Meds are all the same. Customer service kept saying they didn't get it, it has been over 2 weeks since I ordered from them. I have contacted the Vet, 6 times and they have faxed, called them in and said they don't understand what is wrong with them. I have told them that they may consider never recommended them again, since the horrible service.

Update---1800PETMEDS Okay!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 06, 2015

I went and visited my Veternarian as I needed to get the prescription for my pets for the flea problems I've been having and VCA in Lacey, Washington lied to both me and 1800petmeds. I had called them 7 times to send 1800petmeds approval for the medications and they said they did. I ask for a copy of the fax they sent them, they show they sent it 7 times and 1800petmeds is correct they noted pets need an exam. I'm truly sorry PetMeds.com I will give you another shot, but I will be using another Veternarian. When at the doctors office they let me purchase the medication there since they only sell NexGuard and nothing else, they don't want the business going anywhere else. I asked do I need to have the dogs an exam for the medications and they said no, I was like well why did you send that fax to 1800petmeds, they had no response, I went ahead and paid for 1 box for both my dogs for only a 6 month supply box, so 3 months for my dogs while I change vets. The cost was $45 more than 1800petmeds. If I could delete this report I would, so I'm just going to update this one with the correction.

I will be reporting VCA though in another report.

Sorry 1800Petmeds for the bad review. I will remove all other reviews from other sites.

Thank you for trying to advise me of what the Vet was doing, but I didn't get enough information from you until I went to the Vet, which I didn't go to faster due to them being 70 miles from my house. I have since found another Vet closer to my home and will use them. I had only used them as they are a nationwide company and I have lived in several cities for my job. So I won't trust them again.

Once Again,

I get the same response. And by the way, I didn't contact you via Twitter, SiteJabber posted my response on Twitter and you contacted me. You keep saying you got a response for from my Veternaiarian that my pets needed an exam. I actually had one of your people 3 way called into the doctors office they said that my dogs didn't need an exam and that they would refax the approval to you again. I called them yesterday and asked them how many times they contacted you and they said we have down in your files that we faxed the request back on 10/20, 10/21, 10/22,  10/23 and they contacted your pharmacy one time. So I'm saying that you can't lie your way out of this one and coming up with the same o'le pitch that my Vet said they need an exam and that is all you have on file.

We'll I never disputed that FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm CLEARLY STATING THAT YOU WERE GIVEN APPROVAL NOT ONCE, BUT MULTIPLE TIMES. Sorry your staff is so incompetent that they can't input a medication request that they have recieved via fax not once, but 4 times and they got a phone call from my Veterinarian.

And on Twitter you said you wanted to try my order again. I was like you can look at the order and call the Vet and get approval and then contact me to see if I want to order now after you have approval. Giving my credit card information and doing another order is like saying lets try to mess up again.

Sorry, if you don't feel like reading and you just want to respond with the same information.

We're sorry we could not complete your order

We are very sorry we couldn't complete your order. To clarify, once we get a response from the veterinarian telling us that they won't approve the prescription until the dogs have an exam, we don't continue to contact the vet. We can only go by the communication we receive from the vet which, in this case, appears to be different than what they told you. Since you contacted us on Twitter, we did respond there also, and the facts remain the same.

1800PETMEDS TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, November 02, 2015

1800 PETMEDS, still not taking responsiblity for their horrible service, they state that the only call they called that my VET said that they said my pets needed a physical first, well my pets for one aren't due on till the end of December and I've contacted my Veterinarian and they said they never told 1800PETMEDS that they needed an exam first. I already had a heart test done and exam 5 months ago when I ordered my first order from them. They have all of this on file. So why are they insistant on NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. All they had to do is keep calling my vet as they said that it was approved not 2 times, but 6 times since it was order on 10/6/15. So or course they are now trying to come up with exuses for only calling 1 time. I mean on twitter they are spamming my account with same excuse and state they would like to contact my vet again. I'm like sorry I already bought the items from another source. Good luck on trying to make my report better, but I have made my opinion clear. You made one contact, one time, I called several times, I called you several times and you did not do your job. So of course bad customer service, means bad company. Sorry, but I hope the Millions of people that read this realize that your incompetent and your company will do the same to them as they have done to me.

Veterinarian did not approve the prescription

AUTHOR: Abby, PetMeds Pro - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, November 02, 2015

We appreciate your feedback and regret any confusion. It is not correct that flea medications are "all the same" -- a different medication will require a new prescription. Your order was placed on 10/19/15. Since the order was for a new prescription medication, our pharmacy contacted your veterinarian for the prescription authorization. On 10/20, their office informed us that your dogs needed an exam before they would approve the medication. As a licensed pharmacy, we are unable to dispense the medication without your vet's approval. We have not received any further communication from your veterinarian's office.
