On October 5, 2005 we ordered 80 - 2" cushion vinyl stacking ballroom chairs and 12 30x96 Plastic folding beidge tables from All Folding Chairs who also does business as 1st Folding Chairs and the owner or the guy who seems to run the business is Larry Hoffman. Previously they were located at 16000 Ventura Blvd, Ste 500, Encino, CA 91436. They have many phone numbers including but not limited to: 800-914-1969, 818-981-3434, 800-707-1263, 877-610-3080, 818-430-4783 (Larry's cell). And Fax number 818-981-6777. They also go by 1st Mousepads.com
We sent a check for the order on October 5, 2005 for $3,916. We were told that check would make the order ship faster then if we paid with a credit card. When these were ordered the date quoted for the items to ship was October 13, 2005. One week after the order was placed I contaced the company to receive a tracking number for the order and was told that the tables were on backorder, and the chairs had to be put together before shipping, which would take a week before they could ship out. A week later I called to find out if they had been shipped yet and was told that the tables had arrived but that they needed to contact the supplier on the chairs to find out why they haden't shipped.
On the 25th of October we were told that the chairs that we ordered were not availabe so they were going to substitute them for other. We agreed to this and the company was supposed to give me a credit for 50 cents per chair. I was told that later in the day a bill of lading would be faxed to me once one of the office workers came in. I received the run around for the next couple of days and then on Novemeber 1, 2005 I received a bill of lading from EDI. I contacted EDI and they advised me that they had not picked up antything from the shippers address bound to the receivers address. They asked who had signed for the shipment on the bill of lading and what the tracking number was. The bill of lading did not have this information on it, so EDI suggested I contact the shipper. I called the 1st Folding Chairs back and was told "oh, well it hasn't been picked up yet it will be picked up today"
On November 3rd I contacted 1st Folding Chairs again regarding the shipping and was told "Well, somehwere between here and Florida, I'll call you back and let you know." I called again the next day and was told that no one was available. That all people were in the warehouse and would return on Monday. On Monday, the 7th of November I contacted the company to request a refund. Larry Hoffman (1st Folding Chairs) said "You haven't received them yet? I'm sorry, I guess we should take those chairs off the website, since we are having trouble getting them. I'll Fed-Ex you out a refund today." I received the run around for 5 days before I could get a tracking number for the check and then wehn we did receive it the check was returned for NSF.
We have sued this guy personally (Larry Hoffman) and 1st Folding Chairs but have still not been able to receive any money on the judgement. Attorneys are now getting involved. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company or this guy. They will rip you off and you will be without your money.

Since filing this report on RipoffReport.com, I have received at least a dozen people who have contacted me regarding them also being ripped off by Larry Hoffman.
Please be careful when dealing with this company and this man as they promise you you'll get your products and most never do.
Larry never tried to contact us regarding our shipment we were the ones who always called him.
Be very careful when sending this company or man your money.

The complaint # 220405 on the Ripoff website represents .0002%
of all our customers for January 2003 to August 2009. I am proud of this record and regret the problems with ARC in 2004.
We have over 5,000 customers in our database and to say that
we are ripping off customers is simply not true. The Ripoff website performs a valuable function; however it is important
that the website tells the entire story.
We did have problems in 2003 and 2004. These included a prior partner and a distribution company that did not ship our goods as promished. This however this does not excuse the problems with
ARC
ARC in FULL with interest in early 2007. We now import all our merchandise directly. We are not perfect and I and the company regret the problems with ARC. I have tried over the years to contact them without success.
I would be glad to email or fax our entire database of 5,320
customers to theRipoff Website. Our customers database includes:
US Army, US Marines, US Navy, US Capitol Building, The Pentagon, 1,860 Churches, 45 Schools Districts, 1,100 Rental Companies and numerous banquet halls, hotels, restaurants, wedding facilities and individual customers in all 50 states.
Obviously, if we were Ripping Off all our customers we could not and should not be in businesses. I hope this rebuttal adds some light and balance to the complaint. Please fell free to contact me.

On 10/16/07 we finally received our last payment from Larry Hoffman.
We tried having the debt collected by a lawyer but no luck. Finally we contacted Continential Commercial Group in Glendale, CA, who happened to know him personally since they had had many cases against him and as of today 2/18/09 they still have many cases against this guy.
