Received a phone call stating that i was 1 year behind payments for a sum of 37.88$. The last time that i utilised their services was in 2005. Here we are 6 years later and they want to collect. I told them that i had cancelled their services in 2005.  They kept on asking me if a had proof that i had cancelled their services. Ya right 6 years later who keeps this!!!!  Now there telling me if i don't pay they will send me to the collection agency after me.  What the hell i am frustrated, who in their right mind collects after 6 years. My adress or my phone number hasn't changed in the last 10 years. Anyway he explained to me that i was actualy 4 months behind when i had canceled my method of payments and they been trying to collect since then. I then told him that 4 months at 2.95$ a month x 4 =12$ plus tax, why trying to collect 37.88$!!!!! Anyway i had no choice to agree to pay half of the bill even do that i'm getting royally screwed!!  Just wanted to informe the public of their non-sense and again they can really screw up somebody when they want to!! So did i do the right thing by paying half of the bill or should i of took the chance with them sending me to the collection agency?

They should be investigated for Fraud and Extortion by the Police

AUTHOR: Zak - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 28, 2011

This company connected me as well by robocall and stated that I signed up in 2005 and because they claim I didn't cancel after the single year I paid for via credit card, I now owed them for every year since then and demanded almost $200.  I advised that they can check their records and see that I haven't used their poor and slow service since 2005 and that I did cancel after the year was up.  They said that if I didn't pay it was "serious" and that they would take me to a collection agency.  I advised them to send me the contract and that I would take it to the Toronto Star and file a complaint about this deceptive/criminal practice so others could be warned never to sign with this poor excuse for a company.  I also toled them that they should take me to court instead as I won't be giving them a dime.  Once I get the contract, I'm going to the Minister of Consumer Affairs and my MPP as well as the Toronto Star as this kind of OBVIOUS fraud should be a crime and investigated by the Police as well.

If these people call you, don't give them a penny.  NOBODY has the right to ask you to pay for a service you didn't use and to do so more than half a decade after the fact!
