Hey everyone. I was one of the first to actually start ixp in new york city. Basically we were promised armani suits or $1000 for the first perosn to become a manager. Honestly i got swindled. I signed up for the 3 spot($1000). I must admit that i just wanted to make money. Me and my time tried so hard. We end up coming home at 5 am, we went to all the meetings, we gave out flyers, we lied to try and convince people. There is nothing we didnt do. But it all fell apart at the end. I was the only one in my team that made money. I had 15 people under me and guess how much i made...$600. I was told to quit school, to quit my job. Funny cuz thesame manager who told me this was still working. I had used up all my savings to the point i almost started begging for money to eat. When we told the leaders that we had no money to eat, talk less of money to pay for the meetings how did they react? They simply didnt care. To them if you are not bringing people to the meetings or coming for training you are insignificant. As a result of the tremendous effort and time I put into it, i did badly in school and lost out of my scholarship. I had to withdraw that semester. Dont try to convince a yor(formerly ixp) rep, we were all brain washed. Brain washed to the extent that some of them called their family and friends fools. Take it from me, I was a leader. I had a team. My team did not make money and i lost a whole lot. Do yourself a favor and ignore them because you can be successful at other things. And as for yor, i havent forgotten about you. Tell chaunty and Dennis wong, Johnny lee and michael mo that i will be coming after you guys
