417 rentals Chris Gatley NOT JUST ME 417 HAS DONE WRONG TO-PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME TO THIS LIST brookline, Missouri

There is only one way to STOP this company from continuing to take advantage of his tenants.  I am BEGGING anyone who has rented from Chris Gatley DBA 417 Rentals to please contact me.  I have reported Chris to the BBB, the city & county of Springfield Mo. The county official I spoke to told me Chris Gatley 417 Rentals is "VERY WELL KNOWN IN THIS COUNTY for doing nothing to fix tenant issues".   I also called the Attorney General (what a joke & waste of time that was which is probably why Chris continues doing the crap he does to tenants)

I also made a formal complaint to the Real Estate Commissioner.  Upon doing all this investigating I found Chris Gatley had been placed on a 3 year probation with the Board of Real Estate Commissioner during this time he was fined $1,000.00 for obviously continuing his shady practices renting to people that are at his mercy to live in a safe secure home.  Lastly just yesterday I reported him to a local tv station who asked me if I could find other tenants as myself who is fed up with this kind of living environment & Chriss' lack of caring for anybody or anything other than getting his rent check...which he actually had a man by the name of Randall show up here @ 8 am for the check!  

For you who didn't read my first posting it is simply I rented what appeared to be a nice home in a nice subdivision.  When the city utilities were turned on we smelled the HORRIBLE smell & upon investigating we found the dishwasher to be filled with nasty black foul water...thinking somebody just didn't drain it I turned it on. What a mistake for then the sink backed up with the nasty water so I turned on the disposal. OMG then I had this nasty water with big hunks of white paper flying everywhere also pouring out of the bottom of the disposal. We turned it off & took the pipe off to find the problem was hunks of toilet paper. 

My neighbors informed me that I was on a septic system that was never disclosed to me which hadn't been cleaned to their knowledge in over a year & that the previous tenants had such a rodent problem that when they moved out that all three of my neighbors were infested with the mice that they each had to hire an exterminator!  Probably due to the overflow of the backed up sewage in septic.  This began my daily (sometimes several calls per day) to the office...NOBODY ever answered my calls.  I tried email to have it returned as an invalid email address (convenient-huh) Which led me to calling the various agencies mentioned above. 

FINALLY almost one month later after calling a lawyer who said he knew Chris from seeing him in court several times taking tenants to court for rent due I suspect the attorney must have made a phone call to Chris telling him I was looking for an attorney...now I want to stress this is just my opinion but something made Chris finally send out a septic cleaning man who said it was beyond bad that he had told Chris this needed to be on a twice a year regiment.  I was refusing to pay my rent & was giving him a 30 day notice & was requesting my initial $1700.00 back from him, the cost of the uhaul, missing work, etc.  So he fixed that & one day before rent was due he finally sent his "plumbers" over to fix the sink. 

Upon taking the hose off they said "this is s**t in these pipes & the dishwasher" to which I replied I knew that & that is why I couldn't use my kitchen sink to even get water out of it or flushing the toilet for a simple urination took 2-3 times prior to the septic being cleaned out.  It took them 2 bottles of ACID to clean the pipes from the kitchen to outside.  Ok the sink is now usable BUT the nasty dishwasher is still sitting her with dried up s**t in it after yet another month.  I have had to buy all kinds of spray foam insulation for the holes in the walls, to keep the cockroaches at bay I've placed cockroach gel in every light socket in the house,

I've had to put plastic up to the walls ...not just the windows but walls & doorways to get some kind of insulation from the cold, there are a couple windows missing, the garage door will not open or close but has a minimum of a 3" gap that allows the cold wind, snow & mustn't forget the possible rodents that I have out poison & traps out for.  I got my first utility bill & it was for almost $300.00 to sit in here with long underwear, sweat pants, heavy socks, sweat shirt & a space heater going in order not to freeze in the living room, kitchen, & front room while you can't breathe in the bedrooms for it is so hot you have to run a fan! So I had the gas company come to a check to which they said the duct work wasn't right & appeared that the furnace is too small for the house. So guess what that also means the central air won't work properly either. 

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help yourself, help other tenants, other possible victims as yourself by calling the real estate commissioner, call the attorney general, call the city, call the county, put up reports as this one.  I for one am not going to sit back & let him just continue this to me without e putting the truth of Chris Gatley & 417 Rentals & his girl friend Mindy & obviously his whole office who is aware of the shady stuff he pulls or else why do they sit in the LOCKED office with security cameras watching who pulls in their drive & decide if they are going to answer a door or not...hell answer a phone call would be an improvement once you rent a place from them.  Before you rent they burn up your email address & phone with all kinds of houses or apts. they have available-right? RIGHT! 

Please add your name to this list as to people he has taken advantage of so we can get his license either fined so much he has to pay attention to all the rat holes he rents or houses that appear to be ok until your in them..I personally as an ex landlord for many years, a contractor, I took a real estate course, etc think this kind of behavior is unacceptable & his license should be revoked once & for all to quit doing this to people!  Again please help yourself & don't fear being evicted he can not see who is filling out these reports but he does need to answer to the commissioner.  Thank you for your time!
