I received a flyer in the form of a postcard advertising phenomenal pricing for Dish Network Sattelite TV with an extremely large 800# to call for next day installation services once approved. You really had to read the fine print to find out that it was Altitude Marketing who had sent the flyer out. Once approved is the key word, because in order to get approved you needed to give all personal information and a credit card #. The person who was setting up the "services" never once said that there is going to be an additional fee of $49.99 debited from the credit card. They just said the first months billing would be debited; which it was.

I was scheduled for installation of sattelite services on Monday Memorial day, but when noone showed up to install the sattelite, I called Altitude Marketing back, they could not verify when sattelite was going to be installed and that they needed to send me to dispatch where they should have the schedule for installation. After going back and forth multiple times between Altitude Marketing and dispatch; and getting hung up on three times. I finally, called and requested to talk to Big Mike McCaffery; the supervisor of Altitude Marketing. I didn't get to talk to him; do to Memorial Day Holiday. I finally called 1-888-333-3474 which was another number that I was given to call; and this number took me directly to Direct TV; who had no clue what was going on. I finally called the extremely large 800# listed on the top of the little postcard flyer and requested to get my credit card reimbursed for the first months billing cycle. The person stated that in 3-5 business days the money would be returned back to my account. We'll see if that happens.

I am a frugal person and check my banking account daily and sometimes 2-3 times a day to make sure no fictitious activity is occurring. I checked my account yesterday May 31, 2011 and found an unauthorized debit from an company known as 4digitaltv.com in the amount of $49.99. I immediately contacted my bank to get an 800# to call and verify; I thought maybe my husband had ordered something that I didn't know about. My bank representative stated there was not an 800# and that she would investigate the debit transaction for me and call me back.  My representative from my bank called me at 4:45; prior to closing for the day and told me that she came up with nothing for this company. No contact information is linked to the debit except for the 4digitaltv.com website which my highly intelligent husband googled this morning and found them to be a scam.

I have called my bank first thing to stop payment on this debit. 4digitaltv.com from Altitude Marketing just messed with the wrong person and will not be receiving anything. I will have my bank representative put a permanent stop to all further transactions from this "SCAM" company. I hope this helps others who have been victims of the same.
