In August of 2010, I answered an ad on Craigslist... job opportunity. I completely filled out the application. One question on the application: Had I been convicted of a felony within the past ten years. I reponded, "No"
After working for this company for nine (9) days, I received a call from Human Resources. I was asked at that time, had I ever been convicted of a felony? Well, as it turns out, In 1990 I was convicted of murder. I served 19 years.
So then, responding to the answer, now being asked me, "Had I ever been convicted of a felony". I said yes. The lady said for what? I said Murder! Dead silence for what appeared an eternity... she finally responds with, I didn't expect an answer like that.
About an hour later, the guy who trains the new people for Chipsmith, SouthCenter Shopping Mall Security and a guy in a suit... they all approach in their vehicles. I am right in the middle of working on a customers car. The trainer approaches me, tells me "I need to inventory your supplies, you are being let go". I said fine! After waiting a few days, I called Chipsmith and asked about my check. After numerous calls, being placed on hold, being hung-up on I was finally told my check was mailed to my recent address. This could have been settled long ago.
Here it is Tax-Time, 2011... I need my w2 from this employer. I called about 11 days ago. The lady said my w2 was mailed to my current address about 2 weeks ago. I have attempted SEVERAL calls to these... idiots! Placed on hold, told that H.R. is busy at this time, etc. This company is embarrased by the fact, a thorough background check was not done... "Before" I was acually hired. Now I am going through the F...ing drama of abtaining my w2 so I can file my taxes. Anyone have any ideas???

I had to read this twice....So, you murder someone. ..get out and get a job...and you didn't disclose that you in fact do have a felony because the application asked if the conviction was within the last 10 years...and you were obviously convicted but not in the time frame asked on application? Ever think if you left in unmarked ,or marked no and a side note to explain that u have been convicted of a serious crime outside that time period and would be happy to explain further if needed....that's called honesty, maybe you'd still have a job? You know background checks are not always immediately done,depends on company, position, and the fact that you marked no on your application. ..there could be others that were honest and marked yes,so they take priority.
No real need to check you out because you were a snake and marked NO all on a question that was specific....obviously you were to embarrassed to admit what a low life scum you are to be honest even though it's "not the question that was asked". I think you, hope you have come to the light,so to speak....it's called Karma...based apon your "idiot"response. ...I think someone should look in the mirror....your the idiot to think you got one up and then get caught....and expect them to take time to even adress your obviously criminal self....this situation clearly shows your a sneaky, lying and obviously thought you were to "sharp "to get caught.
I seriously was coming on this site to see if there was anything bad about this company because I just had the BEST experience and repair today. Makes me feel even better that just because you "lied"and marked no...there was something that made them want to check you out. ...and tada. ...makes me feel good that they don't just hire anyone and never look back.
This makes me a customer that will forever use them...so Mr Idiot murderer. ...your inability to have an ounce of truth you , gained them lifetime business....and you jobless HAHAHA. ..KARMA ROCKS
