Wow, what a joke. I am almost 50 years old. I have been in the Military, a hard core, hell raisin' biker, ( before I reformed), and even a police officer. I've done alot of stupid things, and seen alot of stupid people and things. But I have never heard or even thought these peolple would have the balls to do what they do. A payday loan company or a varmit suckin of the old cash cows utter.

Fast Cash, aka payday-loan-yes, First National always has had a history of making peoples lives miserable, and themselves look like idiots. But when a woman by the name of Laurie Edmonds called a year ago and said, " you will pay this, we know who you are and where your bank is and something very bad is going to happen very soon", I thought, who does this woman think she is and does she really know who she is talking to? So I called her bluff, and told her to do your worst. The phone calls stopped until today. Almost one year later to the day.

She states, " Sir this is Laurie Edmonds, ( sounds like to much booze or cigarettes by the sound of her voice), I am from the legal department at First National and I have been retained and faxed over information regarding your loan with Fast Cash. Sir you are 140 days past due and we have come to the conclusion that we have to file suit in this case. So what do you have to say now? I replied, " Good morning Laurie. You know that you are not suppose to call me at work. By the way, you stood me up last year. I was waiting for something to happen real bad. Remember Laurie?" She replied, " I don't know what you are talking about and I am not hear to exchange p-p-p-p-p-pl-pl-, be nice to you. ( I think she was trying to stutter pleasantry.) " So are you going to take care of this or are we going to make your life hell."

I decided to have alittle fun as the bill has long since been settled. In my state, you can only ask for up to $ 35.00 on $100.00. Well, on a 300.00 loan they withheld $900.00, so I closed the account and told them, No More!!! Anyway, I asked her what she exactly intends to do to fix it. She then proceeds to ask for my new bank account info, ss# which they should've already had, date of birth, etc.

I thought for alittle bit and replied, " It's very nice of you to want to know more about me, but first I need to know alittle more about you. Like what is your hair color, weight, ss# bank account info, personal phone#, and oh, your address.?"

Laurie became so mad that I thought she was either hyper ventilating or having an asthma attack on the phone.( Probably too much smoking or drinking.) The woman literally had nothing to say. I explained to her that maybe it's not such a good idea to get to know each other and I think we should break up. I also told her not to worry, that she could find someone else to talk to on the phone, but only to be alittle nicer next time, because it must be awful hard to keep a boyfriend with this kind of behavoir. And then I hung up.

What I am trying to say here is, even at that moment that they are scaring you and threatening you, it can still be a fun and legal way to spend afew minutes of the day. Don't know what your co-workers will think, but at least the phone call will be more productive than what they usually do. To all of you out there. Payday loans are a trap. Try your best to pay what you can and try to do it on time. If you can't, and they and it gets ugly, have fun with it. Have a great day.

And I guess if they get a guy to call me next time, I'll just be gay for that phone call. Wonder what my co-workers will think then.
