5thAveDigital This is a classic bait & switch operation. List an item at a low price, get you in and then up sale options at very high price. If you do not purchase options you do not get the itme ordered.
On (((Redacted))) I have 3 times ordered a Garmin GPS unit, supposely the low price each time. This time from 5thAveDigital.com.
Each time I get called and a sales person attempts to up sell me very expensive accessories. i.e. the accessories that Garmin ships with each unit is now sold separately at a high price or a memory chip for $149.95 that can be purchased elsewhere on the Web for for $10 to $20. When I decline to purchase the options I receive within a day or 2 a notice my original order is on back order. Weeks go by and nothing happens. note: THEIR ADS CONTINUE TO SHOW THE ITEM "IN STOCK" DURING THIS PERIOD.
I will be reporting the other 2 companies separately in Ripoff. They are closeoutgenius.com and Techondigital.com.
All of the 3 are listed on (((Redacted)))
In addition to this report I am notifying the Attorney Generals of their respective states, the FTC and all the major credit card companies.
