Last week I took my three kids in for cleanings, one of my children are two years so they just did a "friendly" visit and looked at them but did not clean them. The other two received cleanings and one had a tooth pulled based on the orthodontist recommendation. They brought me the paperwork to sign for pulling his tooth which was $140 so I signed and waited for them to finish up. When I went to check out, my balance was now over $500. WHAT??? She tried to tell me that I had to pay for all of it because my insurance company won't say how much they pay for and then they will pay me back. The interesting part is that I had my teeth cleaned and full x-rays the week before and walked out of my dentist without paying a single cent. I told her that and she made a comment about me not being happy with the $500 charge, which of course I said that I was not! She starts clicking away on the computer and comes up with some number and is now charging me for the "friendly" visit as a cleaning to try to get some more money out of my insurance company and only charged me some random co-pay amount and then said that I will probably end up with a credit on my account. Now I see how they can offer X-Box incentives and gift cards! Not to mention, they gave one kid more tokens for the cleaning than the other and when I mentioned it I got some lip about it until the other hygentist told her to give me the tokens to be fair to the kids.

cash cow avoidance

AVOID any 6 day dental locations unless you have millions of dollars to spend on getting their shoddy work redone.   I have been out thousands of dollars getting their work redone.  Never had any issues with any other tooth or work just theirs.  Just this time last year they had an anti-insurance rant on their website about why there were not in network.  Now they are attempting to get accepted as in network with several providers or they are now accepted and they are trying to get accepted with CHIPS.  I cant imagine the state of texas accepting them for CHIPS if they look into the complaints against this place.  I am shocked to read Aetna has accepted them as orthodontist providers.  I hope they get a class action case against them that closes them all down.  They are common criminals with very substandard dental skills and outrageous prices with arrogant attitudes.  The owner/founder has had so much plastic surgery he looks like a mannequin.  All the sudden they are hurting for new victims so they are willing to fleece the most innocent of victims, children on CHIPS.

6 DAY DENTAL IN ROANOKE - WONDERFUL STAFF

The staff at the Roanoke office is great. They have never charged me more than my co-pay until they received the final coverage from the insurance co. They then send us a bill if we have to pay more.
