If you are one of the unfortunates who have shopped at this location and one day get the heartwhenching suprise of your account getting emptied out in another state, you have this store to be thankful of and for some reason which I know but cant put to print, the local police deparment is ignoring it.
The ones who are doing this are the employees. If you have been here whether a victom or not, you will notice many a times, especially with large lines, there is an employee off to the corner supposely doing inventory behind the customers.
What he is actually doing is recording everyone in the line in an area where both credit card terminals are in view and records not only the credit card number, but also the foolish ones like myself who didnt cover up the numeric terminal where they see the pin being entered.
I have spoken to the police department in regards to this and their only responce is "they have no proof, to do anything" and just blow it off, not to mention tend to friequent the establishment quite often.
The only reason I am doing this report is because this has happened on several ocasions and on the third time I got the evidence if not the police will use, at least gives me the satisifaction knowing where this was happening. The third time my new card was duplicated, I not only made sure no longer to use a pin but to use it as a credit card, and the first place I used it was at this 7-11. What took place is what I described above, but this time the clerk messed up and forgot to turn the flash off so it got my attention immidiately. Turned around and he turned as well with phone in hand pretending to do some other chore though not only did I get confirmation from another customer of what happened, several neighbors its happened too who shopped there. Now, after this all took place, I put the card away and used a backup to same account I had bank make me. I was not even surprised days later when my bank calls me to tell me the card was compromized in yet the same state as before where my account got emptied out the first time. My bank was well aware after I told them what was going on, and already had restrictions put on it so nothing got taken the third time, but still, if you go here or have to, bring cash or put tape over the credit card and cover the terminal with your hand, its the safest thing to do or youll go though what I have.

7 Eleven scams itself :)

I recorded every time I shop at my local 7-Eleven, and today, their voiding item so it won't count the coupon, backfired on them. The owner of this one tampered with the terminal, so no one can see the voids now, or how much of what was purchased, and they bag their items, so this is on them. I told the guy he made a mistake, rering the sale up and he refused.
He also shorted me an item, but heck, threatened to call the police on me if I didn't go, and handed me the bag. No shouting, no threats, just his venous attitude. Let's do the math 6 Marlboro 100. $72.00 4 Starbucks $15.96 2 cupcakes $ 4.98 2 chocolate milk $ 4.98 1 chex mix. $. 3.06 Total, can't see all prices due to their receipt, but total should be about $102. It all came to $60.
My guess is because the owner tampered with the machine so voids don't show, he voided wrong thing so I wasn't charged enough and trying to tell him this multiple times, was told they will call police on me? My receipt reflects all items, but wanted to update my report which they read and made it so voids don't show, so it backfired on them :) I'm including the receipt minus my personal info.

More fraud by store, possibly larger scale

Seems the San Bruno 7-11 has figured out a few new scams that not only scam the customer, scams the vendors they buy from as well. I was shown a receipt from the above abovementioned store by a neighbor of mine, and at first look, seemed normal.
It was when they pointed out the total that my eyes grew wide, and had me rummaging through several years worth of reciepts to discover this scam isn't new. This scam goes back a few years, just only recently someone else picked up on it.
I myself put it to the test, and out of 3 purchases, 2 of them fraud took place by the store. Because most stores use required registers approved by 7-11, it's quite possible this can be larger scale. To find out if you fell victom, you will need to check your reciepts and know a little marh, or just use a calculator.
When you buy from a 7-11 store and use coupons, ever notice a post void item on the reciept? This is an item void when an item is accidentally scanned twice, but with 7-11, its scamming you and the vendor too who reimburses the store.
Lets say, you buy a sandwitch for $7.95 and have a coupon for $1.00 off. The reciept should look like this: Sandwitch $7.95 Coupon. -1.00 Tax if any. .95 Total. $7.90 This is what a normal reciept should look like, and now a scam reciept: Sandwitch. $7.95 Coupon. -1.00 Sandwitch. -7.95 Sandwitch. 7.95 Tax if any. $1.03 Total. $8.98 Notice how the scam sale is more at the end?
If you look at your reciepts from 7-11 and see a voided item when using a coupon, you have been scammed most likely. A lot of people in a rush see the coupon deducted and dont question the total, unless its unrealistic.
How are you getting scammed? Simple. When the item being scanned with coupon is voided and rerang, the coupon off gets voided too, but reciept doesn't show this. Now not only are you paying full price, the store still collects on the coupon.
If this happens at your 7-11, make them void the entire sale and rering it without any voids what so ever showing. If they refuse, take your coupon and leave. Let them worry on putting things back. Im curious to know how wide spread this is. Please reply and also file your own report too. It helps weed out the bad from good!
