800 VMAILBOX, INC-VOICEMAIL Company guilty of "slamming" per Verizon, Internet

Noticed charges on our phone bill this month from 800vmailbox.   Called 877 number to inquire.   I was told that we signed up using our email (not true).  Their rep told me he could cancel the April charge, but could not give me credit.   I argued with him, cited fraud and he would still not credit me the charges.   I phoned Verizon and explained that this company is under investigation for fraud.  The Verizon rep told me that this sounds like "slamming" (a common rip off scheme).  We were charged $14.95 + tax on two bills by this company (last month and this month)before we realized the issue.  I was credited in full by Verizon for the two months this company falsely charged me.   (Thank you Verizon).  

Call your telephone provider and let them know you have been slammed.   You should be able to recover all past and present charges.
