A re-occurring monthly $14.95 charge was added to my AT&T telephone bill without my consent. When I called to question and remove the charge, the 800VMailbox representative said my phone number was under a different name so it must have been an accident. Sure. They should be verifying the name on the account before billing. The agent was hostile about this and is clearly accustomed to being attacked. I see numerous other reports of people being billed without their approval. Please review your telephone bills carefully. You must apply a block to your account to prevent these "Enhanced Billing Services" from 3rd parties to be billed automatically. Millions of people are likely being billed $14.95/month unbeknownst to them. AT&T should be doing something to prevent this abuse.
