I placed an order with Ipodsrule.net for the purchased of two Ipod Nano's. This site offered 10% off if you purchased two Ipods and 15% off if you purchased three or more. This site had the apple logo and appeared to be very legitimate. While completing the transaction, I notice that a PayPal site appeared. I was hesitant about paying using this system, but I felt that this was there method of payment. I completed the transaction and printed the paypal receipt. This had no tracking number for the purchase, just the a receipt that paypal was authorized to charge my credit card for the purchase and receipt of payment to paypal. The offer guarenteed my purchase within three business days.

After two days I tried to find out the status of the purchase. I had to call the number given for the Apple Ipod customer service that appeared on my paypal receipt. I called and they informed me that they could not track any purchase using my conformation # from paypal, nor could they track my purchase using my name, phone # or my Credit Card #.

I contacted my bank and found that the purchase was withdrawn from my account and also found a number for Paypal. I contacted paypal and made them aware of the company and that I had also found a web-site that told this was a SCAM. PayPal told me that they would have to give the company ten days to respond and that because I was not a PayPal customer I would not be protect by them for this type of SCAM. The would attempt to retrieve my funds but they would only give it a best effort. Meaning that if the company would not give the money back then I would not get it back.

My bank and Credit Card Company is also investigating this company along with PayPal. I feel that PayPal is also responsible because they should be investigating the people who use there services before they allow them to prey on the public.
