A-1 American Heating and Air Conditioner Rip off Company and very rude and lie on the phone, over charged and did job wrong!!!! Chesapeake, Virginia

Do not use A-1 American heating and air conditioning.  They came out to fix my air conditioner!  Technician Bruce C. wasn't here long charge $448.00 stating that he checked gas pack and found unit to be low in Refrijerent and needs ajusting 1-3 lbs condensor and needs cleaning  of coils. fan motor is overheating and could fail in the future. There was still no air, I called him to come back, they did and did'nt do anything just said it is working.  Finially I call and speak to Tabatha the office manager, time I get done we are arguing and she isn't sending anyone back out because it is a hostile enviroment and hangs up!  My husband called and give's him the run around, then won't speak to him. He calls everyday and she never in the office.  Finally he get's her and she say's fax the paperwork form the other company that we had to come out and we never hear from her again!  The other company came out and said for one you were over charged, twothey checked gas pack unit found evap coil partially blocked and unit overcharged. they cleanded evap. coil and removed 3 lbs of r-22 refrigerant operation ok at this time.  They charged $170.00  They told us that it was about to blow.  We are fighting to get our money back, anyone with a problem with this company should call VA Dept. of Professional and occupation regulation and complain!  (804) 367-8500.
