A Auto & Truck Shady Business Practices & half a$$ work Alsip, Illinois

I took my car in May and they so-called fixed the problem and then charged me $40 for unauthorized gas. Initally mechanic asked if $10 was ok I said fine. When I called for total amount I was told that I was charged $20 for gas. I told them I had only authorized $10. He told me he would look into it. Then when I picked up my car, the owner told me $40. I was appalled. The owner then proceeded to tell me that in order for them to work on my car they had to put gas in it. I explained to him, again, what my conversation was with the mechanic and that I only authorized $10. I also said, if you needed more, why would you not call me to see if it was ok, you don't work on people's car without getting approval so why would you think it was ok to ignore what was initally discussed and put in more gas and then expect someone to pay for it??? And there was no visible signage that said they would put gas in your car without asking. The owner then told me there was nothing he could do and I owed $40. Is that how you treat your customers???? VERY SHADY!!!

Also, had to take same car to Jiffy because started having problems and mechanic was appalled that they even let my car leave the lot (wires were burned because they left them hanging, didn't tighten clamps, car was idiling extremely high - and I supposedly got a major tuneup). SHADY!!!!!!!
