A Brick Above fails to do work that is pre-paid for. Ravenna, Ohio

they should actually be called "a lousy job" or "i'll steal your money" because that is exactly what this contractor does.

after showing us lots of pictures of beautiful masonry work, we had them install a new concrete pad and stone bricks, sounds simple enough, right? After they demanded to pour and work on the pad in the snow and rain and assuring this was ok for the concrete, they started the job, leaving mud everywhere i might add. after drying for a couple weeks, the pad started to flake off on the top because rain/snow kept beating down on it during the drying process. they still had to affix the stone bricks after the pad completely dried and assured us this was normal for concrete to need some repairs after just pouring it, which we know now is a complete lie.

they affixed the bricks and repaired the flaking and after several days in the sun the pad had dried 3 different colors, but were told this was normal and they could just paint it for us! um ok, we pay you a lot of money for a new concrete pad that is suppose to dry a uniform color but you messed up the pad and now want to paint it so now we have to maintain the paint every couple of years??

we also paid them to haul some non related job debris from our house, they said within 2 weeks this would be done and wrote this on our receipt, which i might add was just a sheet of notebook paper. well 2 weeks went by, then 3, then 4 all the while we were calling them, leaving messages, never to get a return call. we finally had to pay somebody else to haul the debris, even though we have a receipt stating a brick above would haul it! numerous calls later they still have not returned the money nor came back to fix the multicolored pad.

this contractor stole our money and did a lousy job since they were rushing to work on it in the snow! i would avoid this contractor at all costs unless you want a lousy job and stolen money too! we even had other masonry work we needed done if this job turned out good but this contractor has lost all our business, whoever is reading this, you have been warned!! nothing but bad reviews and no referrals now, thanks again a brick above!
