A-Johnston Appliance Repair, Inc Unethical Business Practices Orland Park, Illinois

Our dryer was without heat so we contacted this company for repair. The lady on the phone told me that it was a $98 service call fee and that that would go towards the cost of the repair if the repair was needed. They gave us a 5 HOUR WINDOW of what time they would be here between 12-5pm. They got here at 4:55pm. It turns out the ignition needed to be replaced and a $30 part is needed to fix it.

The repair man fixed it in 5 minutes and left me with a $240 bill!. We contacted the company and they told me then that their service fee was 138 dollars! Even at $138 with a $30 part, the math still doesn't add up for a 5 minute repair. There was no itemization on our bill as to what was charged for what. All the bill stated was "Replaced ignition - $240". 

This company is very unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone.
