I brought an inlaid mahogany table with 2 extension leaves to him.  I had a problem only one side of the tabletop, where the clear finish had some problem. It had some white spots in it. My wife and niece brought the table to him on 07/18/2011.

He said it would take 2 weeks to fix it. He said, he needs to remove the clear finish on the whole table and apply a new clear finish. We said okay.  He called 2 weeks later telling us the new finish didnt come out good and wants us to see it. My niece when there, saw the table and agreed its not good. She called me from there and we agreed he would strip the whole table to make it good. Couple weeks later, after finally we got a hold of him, he said he wants us to go there to
see the table, because there is something he couldnt explain over the phone. I went there with my niece and was in shock when we saw the table. Pieces were missing from the top. He said the table looks like this, because this is not a good table. I have to tell you my wife is an interior designer and she works with first class merchandise. Unfortunately sometimes it could be some imperfection in the best merchandise too. We never had a problem before, when we took a table to fix it.

We just moved to Florida 2 years ago and this was the first time when we needed a help to fix the table. Since we work with furniture we know the only way this could happened, that when he was stripping the table he went to deep and ripped pieces out of the table top. He said he wants his customers happy, so he offered the exchange the table for his own
table or to fix it the right way. We told him we want his table, because the wholesale price for this table is $1,200. He said no problem he will fix it. He called us later that he recommends to put on only a semi -gloss finish, not a high-gloss glassy finish, what the table had before, because this way the imperfection doesnt show. We said okay, because this way finally we would have our table back. Went there to pick up the table on 10/07/2011 and what we saw was horrible. Hedestroyed the table the 2nd time too. Painted a wood grain finish on. Covered up the beautiful inlaid. The semi-gloss finish looks so dull. Has a lot of imperfection. It was a totally different table. It wasnt the high quality table what I left there. Now we have a ruined, garbage table in our hand.
