I along as many other have gotten tangled in this companies scheme. I Recently I have tried to get a loan but found out that they have placed a debt in my credit. Is anyone dealing with this issue or have you delt with this issue before? Is there an open case against this company?

Any Help would be great. I have placed complaints to the atterney general's of NY, FL, MI, AND TX. Along with the BBB and I have contacted Equifax to place a fraud alert on my account and stated that it would be sent to the other two credit bureaus.

Here is my story.

In June of '06 I was recently unemployed from my job at the time I was 21 Years old. I contacted Startup Essentials via Email after a TV commercial I viewed. They quickly responded to me via telephone within a day or 2. The person I spoke to on the phone seemed to be very intelligible to the company and businesses and me being ignorant on such issues took the bait. He had me verbally "sign" the agreement for a 2 year agreement. Once I received the products I went through most of the material but, when I needed help when the hard drive died I couldn't figure out how to contact the company. I soon gave up and decided I was paying for a dead horse. I figured I didn't have any credit I might as well pay the full 2 year lease agreement or as I believed it was and get some.

Spring of '08 I paid approximately 22 months of a total of $137.50 that is approximately $3025. Upon as I believed it was a 2 year agreement I could not contact Startup Essentials to cancel my account with them so blocked my bank account from their withdrawings. I tried contacting via telephone several times in a month span and received a message from the the number provided on the website and my documents from them that that number was no longer valid. I contacted my bank and had their automatic withdrawing blocked.

January of '09 I again had them try to withdraw from my account but through a different name A-1 Leasing where I have had them take out previously as Bond Corp. I again had them blocked from withdrawing from my account costing me $24.

I have been contacted by A1-Leasing's Matt Frost on 4/16/09 and they stated I owed them a total amount of $6122.34 for unreceived services and a computer that died with in 3 months of receiving it. I tried to explain that I have a minimum wage job and that is just not feasible for me to pay. He stated that A1 Leasing has been taking 50% to settle. I asked him why I am liable for paying that if I couldn't contact Startup Essentials because they reneged on their agreement. He stated that the owner has "skipped town" and he had over 1000 accounts like mine and they were just trying to get back their money.

When I got off the phone with him I started looking up Startup Essentials and A1 Leasing and found many sites on Scams and Fraud. I found a site that said a David Grossman had sued them previously for the same thing. I contacted him and he told me not to pay them "they don't have the balls to sue you." as he so elegantly put it. I also found that the Lease was through A1 Leasing and not Bond Corp so, they actually broke their contract by using a third party and hot having that in the contract. Today 3/12/10 I have tried to get a loan and progress from that has been haulted due to the fact that A1 Leasing has placed a Debt in my Credit Report.
