a1agiftsonline.com is a phony wholesaler! is not a wholesaler! is a no-account "business" that works out of their apartment claiming to be a wholesaler!
Every single item that www.a1agiftsonline.com "sells" on the internet can be purchased at prices well below their "wholesale" price! In addition, most of www.a1agiftsonline.com is copied illegally from many other websites! Don't be fooled into believing that it is a wholesale site! If you look around at other websites, you will find the same products at prices well below this phony wholesale site it is merely selling the same exact items that thousands of others are selling! In fact, this so-called company has not even been in "business" for a year.
This phony wholesaler even has the nerve to say that they are a "leading wholesaler." This is a made-up lie! Take the time to look around elsewhere, you will find the same items for much less! By the way, no other internet site makes you "join" either. This phony "wholesaler" at www.a1agiftsonline.com wants you to believe that they are giving you something "special." They are not! And, they are not "Wholesalers."

There are other wholesalers

Hello George,
I have used this company since 2007 when I opened my gift shop. They have always sent my merchandise on time, replaced any damaged items without question, been very polite and helpful on the phone. I don't understand what the problem is, there are other wholesalers out there to choose from. If you are not impressed with a1a go elsewhere, but don't slam them. Work is hard enough to find nowadays and they are probably just trying keep up with the internet competition which is not an easy thing to do.

Hi George, Just thouoght I would mention that I have use this company in the past. I did not think they were a bad company to work with at all. I have in fact used them several times, but they are no longer carrying the products that I use to sell. I am not sure where you got the idea that a wholesale company has to be a big Brick and Motar company, with warehouses that stock their own products. I realize that there are some out there, but there is nothing wrong with what they are doing, which is just being a home based business that uses another company or companies to fill orders. I guess the only true wholesale companies are the ones that actually make the product themselves and then offer the products to a large company that let, people like us resell them. It just the new way of doing business now on the internet.
I also realize that a lot of brick and mortar stores use these same suppliers for their products. They all order the products from someone, regardless if it comes from a factory over seas or from another company that gets the products for yet another company. It is not necessary in this day and time to stock all the products offered personally, Nor do they have to have the lowest prices on the internet in order to be called a wholesale site.
As to your comment that No other company makes you join their site, that is really wrong. I have to sign up with every single internet supplier I use. In fact I don't know of one that doesn't require that you join. Many require that you have a tax ID or resellers license.
I do however refuse to pay to sell products for someone else that requires monthly fees, or a large yearly fee, unless it is a very small fee that is request. This type of business never seemed right to me. For every "wholesale site" that request this, I can find 20 that don't and the cost of their products are not that much higher at all.
I imagine as much as 90% of all sites on the internet do not stock every item that they offer personally. Do you think the large sites like OS, AM, and half the sellers on Ebay don't use dropshippers? I know for a fact that they do.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing business this way as long as you make the very best attempt to getting the customer what they ordered in a speedy and safe manner. That is what matters anyway. If you can't, then a sincere apology needs to go to the customer.
I have been selling on the internet since 2002 and I bet that 95% of or products come from dropshippers for all the products that we offer. I have over 200 suppliers that I use and have over 3000 products listed in our store. We have some that are our main suppliers (the ones with the lowest Prices), then some I use as a back up when the main suppliers sell out, (these have the higher pricces). I just wanted to make sure that I had a safety net since so many of the supplier will not give us updates on stock and we really don't have the time or man power to visit each supplier one by one checking all the products we have listed with them. UGH! I do everything I can do for the customer, when my main supplier sells out of a product. Someday these supplier will get smart and make sure that all their resellers get updated inventory emails. Gosh would this solve a lot of the "sold out" products, which of course is the main drawback if not the only one, using some of the dropshippers. lol
I have been able to save several sales by using back up suppliers. Personally I am glad that they are there to use for emergencies. If you will do an internet search for a specific item, you will find a lot of discrepancies in prices from many different sites, regardless if they are "wholesale" or retail. It is their God given right to ask what they want for their products, or to expect a certain percent in making profits. It is up to the reseller to spend hours on the internet, at the local mall, or where ever they need to go to find the suppliers, that offer the items at the lowest prices. I am not sure I would like to see all suppliers offering the products at the same prices anyway, unless of course it was all at the VERY LOWEST possible price, but then this is just a pipe dream..lol.
Suppliers we use are, dropship companies, wholesalers, manufacturers, brick and motar stores, friends that make products, to whatever you imagination will allow in order to come up with products to sell.
My online store has over 3000 items from Baby furniture, stained glass, dolls, tools, engines, generators, farm implements, toys, clothing, dining room tables, beds, and many other products. I stock nothing in my home and make this very clear to the customers in our about the seller area. They can check this out anytime that they want to look it up.
We are also registered dealers for most of the Companies we use like, Victor Mill, Veratex, AFG Baby Furniture, M2C Global health products, Tinsley Clark, Vickerman, and many, many others. It just requires a Tax ID to become a registered dealer for a ton of different companies.
I have to say that I am not sure what your complaint was about. It sounded more like you were just ticked off that something went wrong, and you were put in a bind. We have all been there, but apparently you really do have a lot to learn about how to sell/buy on the internet.
I guess what I am trying to say is don't judge a company so harshly because they are a home based business that is trying to make a living by selling on the internet. If you were truly ripped off, like a defective item was received, and they would not homor a replacement, or never received the item, then YES, you do have a right to complain, but I really did not see anything in your posting that mentioned this.

It IS sort of wholesale

I went to the web sight. It is NOT all that imaginative. What it IS is SMC merchandise, mostly, some discontinued, some current. So SMC is REALLY the "wholesaler". One item I checked on #35386 (that number is a give-away that it IS SMC) he lists what SMC suggests as the retail price of 19.95 and an"wholesale" price of 9.30 But his price (what he has to pay SMC)is 6.65. Since the internet is so saturated with SMC stuff , must SMCers can't even sell the stuff for the wholesale price. SO if you buy using his prices, you will probably not make any money, or very little.IN the about us section he has coppied it almsot word for word from SMC, the only part that is a little different is the last paragraph. SO it IS a legit sight jsut not really much of a wholesale one.
