AA-Automovers Does Not Deliver Parsippany New Jersey

I hired AA-Automovers to transport a vehicle from Scottsdale, AZ to New Jersey. AA-Automovers takes a $200 deposit upfront for their services. I soon received an e-mail from AA-Automovers stating that they have arranged for transport. They provided the name of the transport company that they had hired, gave a range of dates for the pickup (by Feb 19th) and delivery (by Feb 29th), and that the transporter would contact me.

I received a call on 2/25 that the carrier had arrived to pick up the car, but that there was a problem with the vehicle, and the carrier would not take it. That is not the issue-the carrier wwas six days beyond the last day for the pickup, and had never made contact with me. When I called AA-Automovers, they explained they could find me another carrier, but would of course need to take another $200 from me. The fact that the carrier failed to honor the initial deal based on the timeframe meant nothing. There was no offer to arrange another pickup for any lesser fee.

Basically, AA-Automovers felt their side of the deal was done once they called a third party and gave them addresses for pickup and delivery. Part of what they sell you is a time frame, and although it was their e-mail that made claims about the pickup and delivery dates, they felt their fee had been fully earned.
They were never impolite, decent people to talk to, but did not back up their claims, and took the money. Based on this experience, I will not use them again.
