The dentists at AA Family Dental Group in Tustin are CROOKS!
I have HMO dental insurance with Blue Shield. When I went to AA Family Dental Group for my checkup they told me that I needed some fillings. I was quoted a co-pay of $180 and $210. According to the summary of benefits those fillings should have been free or at the most $61. When I asked them about the high co-pay they told me that the fillings they do are different from the fillings covered by the insurance. No matter what, $210 for a simple filling is ridiculous. I didnt have dental insurance for a long time and usually paid less than $100. I never paid more than $125 for fillings.
When I demanded that they give me the fillings covered by the insurance they told me that it would be impossible and threw me out of their office.
I hope AA Family Dental Group gets investigated by the OIG and the FBI for fraud. They bill the insurance company and the patient for the same services. That is double-dipping!
Do not go to any of the dentists at AA Family Dental Group. Their names are: Jasleen Brar, Leroy Lance, Curtis Platt, Benjamin Levi and Brian Green.

New management - different attitude

The management of AA Family Dental Group changed in late 2011.
Their attitude is the opposite of the previous guys. They now care about patients.
They contacted me and apologized for what happened in the past.
The new management replaced most of the original staff and totally remodeled the practice.
When I stopped by all of the employees were very professional.
Pretty much everything changed since I had my bad experience.
The only thing the new place shares with the old one is the name.
