Upon moving out of the Sabana Grande Apartments I turned in my keys and declined to stay for the walk-through as I was on my way to work.  My mistake, I trusted the owners of the property to be fair as they had in the past.

Instead of receiving a portion of my $750 security deposit back they kept the entire thing and sent a letter saying there was an additional amount due of $13 and some change.

I was charged for "painting the apartment green," and "snot all over the north wall," as well as things like not cleaning *underneath* the washer, dryer, and refrigerator.

The apartment was most definitely never painted green, the snot comment was disgusting, insulting and also untrue.  I am not strong enough to move a refrigerator, washer or dryer and have never heard of any apartment complex expecting large appliances like that to be moved and cleaned underneath.

I left the apartment in excellent condition; the owners making up charges that total over $750 is outrageous and unethical.

In person, I requested that the owners of Sabana provide me copies of the pictures they claimed were taken by the company that cleaned and painted the apartment. One of the owners assured me he would provide me pictures and I have never heard from them again, they totally ignored my request.

I have been and will continue to tell everyone I know not to rent from this company.

Dear Andrea,

We thank you for your comments but that facts are true, We have photos that we would be happy to share with you. We must bring our property back to rental status as it was when you received it. The original walk thru paper work also shows that you did check off and sign yourself. If you would have cleaned the apartment back as it was handed over to you when you moved in we would be very happy to have refunded your deposit as normal.

But in your case you left the apartment exactly as you described yourself in your email. Have a great day!

Alan
