I have had issues with the prices at my local AAFES
cafeteria. Prices too often don't make sense. I would have written but no response from anyone.
Has Browns - $0.70.
That adds up to $4.70 right???
Not here... here it was $4.95. They say it's because it qualifies as anomelet "combo". In the rest of the world, a "combo" is more of a value meal.It usually saves you a few cents. This combo does not include a drink
(coffee or whatever).
s is but an example. I really don't care about the 25 cents.. it's theprincipal. My co-workers and I are just tired of stupid pricing.
Another example. Pancake = .70 cents. want 3 of them that'll be 3.00 not 2.10 cents.
Another: If you ask for biscuits and gravy (biscuits = .70 cents) and (gravy = .70 cents) that adds up to 1.40 right?? Here that adds up to 2.00. Just order it separately and its 1.40 but if they know you are combining it.. then they charge you 2.00.
Another: menu says toast is .70 cents, but if you get it with a meal, they charge 1.00 for it.
When will this stupidity end... when the manager who creatively adds these together is gotten rid of.

I have it on good authority from people who work at Greely Hall AAFES cafeteria and from customer that all of the charges leveled at the cafeteria and the manager are true. The difference with prices from day to day is strange and inconvenient but the allegations in some of the reports that spoiled and outdated food being sold everyday are frankly frightening. How many people have gotten ill so far and how many more will it take to get some real action. A 2 day closing will make things better for a while but my fear is that the profit ration will soon make the old practices start happening again. Also, the manager treats the rest of the staff worse than animals. Numerous complaints have been made to the local AAFES office with no changes made. Same spoiled food, same treatment of workers. This could not have been ingnored for so long without someone at the local AAFES office covering for these practices. There is a huge problem with the cafeteria facility and I can only hope that the people who conducted this last inspection keep coming back and keep inspecting. Most of the people who work at Greely Hall have 30 minutes for lunch and they deserve food that is safe to eat.

its completly understandable why you guys are mad about the prices.
if you guys are so upset about the prices bring food from home and stop buying it there. if connie gets no bussiness than she will lower the prices to get more business.
i have told many of you to stop comming in for a good month. you save money and health problems. the prices should be the least of your worries. think about whats going on in the back to save money.
type in greely hall. look at the two reports. those will tell you whats really going on in the kitchen.
so if the food is bad and it is expensive stop eating there. Connie is the one making the prices. not aafes. and aafes has a price match policy so bring in a recept from another place that shows a bottle of tea is cheaper or something.
if she argues. the mike copeland. or even contact barbra or rebecca at HR.

What pissed me off to the point of never going there again was the .70 cent per item policy... you ask for 2 eggs scrambled, $1.40 OK that's right, you want veggie's mixed in with that, it's .70 for the onions, .70 for the bell pepper, .70 for the jalepenos, .70 for the mushrooms, well you get the idea. Connie needs to get fired.
