AAFPRS The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery BEWARE hiring AAFPRS fellowship directors for your surgery!!! Alexandria Virginia

Be very careful if you are considering plastic surgery with any AAFPRS fellowship directors!! I have had 3 plastic surgery procedures in my life - from 3 different AAFPRS fellowship directors (Russell Kridel, Babak Azizzadeh, and Andrew Frankel) - and all were botched horrifically!! I can honestly say that AAFPRS and their fellowship directors have ruined my life, my looks, and my health.

I now have a nose that looks like Michael Jackson's - almost totally cut off!! After the first surgery (Kridel in Houston), my nose collapsed on one side, leaving it looking severely deformed. Kridel wouldn't even try to fix it or give me money back to go elsewhere, even though everyone who saw it was shocked by what he had done to my face - including members of his own staff!! He behaved in the worst way that I have ever seen a human being behave - I can't imagine how anyone could act like that and then look at themselves in the mirror.

Then Azizzadeh told me it would be a pretty easy fix (although he for some reason wrote in my medical file that it would be a very difficult fix - different from what he told me in his office). The result was Azizzadeh made my nose even worse!! It was left short with a piece of cartilage sticking out the side. He told me that the lump sticking out was a stitch and would go away, but it never did!!

Then I went to Andrew Frankel, another AAFPRS fellowship director. He was supposed to make the nose longer and more symmetrical, but instead it looks like he severely cut it off and left very uneven nostrils!! People are shocked when they see it!! And it runs all the time now, every day, and has frequent blood coming out and awful pain! Frankel also removed chunks of my ear from places where the ear was not supposed to be removed, leaving my ear deformed.

Since the Frankel surgery, I have additionally had severe, life-wrecking problems with migraines, tinnitus, and both my eyes. I don't know how many of these health problems were related to Frankel cutting off my nose, but I have a new ENT who thinks my tinnitus is probably caused by Frankel's nose surgery and the irritation it caused to my sinuses, and possibly my headaches were caused by Frankel's surgery as well (can't say for sure at this point).

I have also had severe depression from what these so-called "doctors" have done to me, and have had to go on Prozac for a while to deal with it. I have since learned that AAFPRS fellowship directors often DO NOT DO the surgeries that people come to them for - they let their fellows (trainees) do the surgeries for training purposes, and since the patients are asleep during the surgeries, how will they know?

I suspect that at least one of my surgeries was performed by a fellow, and now my life is RUINED! Additionally, none of the 3 AAFPRS fellowship directors who operated on me gave me even one cent back, and these people are very expensive!! So basically I paid them many tens of thousands of dollars (enough that I could have bought a house) to fix my nose, and they kept the money and left me severely deformed and with disabling health conditions.

How do these people sleep at night? And I've met many, many, many other people who have had their lives ruined because of the same doctors I went to, and other AAFPRS fellowship directors. I met one woman who was diagnosed with PTSD after having her nose done by an AAFPRS fellowship director, and a man who was in a mental hospital for trying to kill himself after what an AAFPRS fellowship director did to him.

I have met many others who have suffered from severe depression because of their surgeries with AAFPRS fellowship directors, and I've seen countless acting and modeling careers ended because of these people. I just hope at least I can save other people's lives by getting the word out. Please run from anyone associated with this horrible organization if you want any quality of life left! I don't want this to keep happening to innocent people!
