Unfortunately, the debt collection regulation information posted applies only to debt collection agencies, not the company that made the original loan. If RIMCO had turned over you account to a 3rd party debt collector, then the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act would apply. But as the original loan maker, RIMCO can attempt to collect by just about any means at their disposal, as long as it doesn't violate harassment laws and they don't threaten you with physical violence. Same thing with banks.

Still no response from the Regional Mgr. Ray Rivers. Aaron's (Rimco) need to train and inform their employees that consumers have rights too. We have rights whether we make or payments in a timely manner or not. We do not have to subject ourselves to their terrorist/mafia style tactics. When they harrass and threaten customers they are in violation of the Federal Trade Commission's Fair Debt Collection's Practices Act which states:

806. Harassment or abuse
A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural
consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any
person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without
limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following
conduct is a violation of this section:
(1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal
means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property
of any person.
(2) The use of obscene or profane language or language
the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer
or reader.
(3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly
refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting
agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section
603(f) or 604(3) of this Act.
(4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment
of the debt.
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person
in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously
with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the
called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of
telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the
caller's identity.

They can be reported and sued for violating the above!

I looked at a se of rims through them for my 2000 Mustang. They wanted $250.00 a month for 18 months. I bought a brand new set online with tires, mounted and balenced for $1100.00. That price was with Nitto tires, and much nicer rims. 17"x9" w/ 275/40/zr17's on the front with 17"x10.5" w/ 315/35/zr17's on the back. Save your money and buy your rims cash.
