Abbey Glen Suites Vernon Jay Vernon, Evelyn Reade Do NOt Rent from these convicts, rude, disrepectful, not a safe place for women or children!!! Beware!!! Raleigh, North Carolina

I was referred to Abbey Glenn Suites due to leaving a domestic violence situation in October 2011.  I had waited for a while to leave my violent situation and was very happy to finally be able to pick up the pieces and move on with my life. I rushed off work to pick up my child  to see the property manager who waited for me to get off work so that I could move in the same day. The property manager gave me the key and he left b/c it was closing time, So I did not get to see what the suite acutally looked like until it was to late meaning once  you take the key You have to stay in this crappy place  for 3 months before you can get your deposit back. Unheard of but OK. 

When I finally found the place I did notice the area and neighborhood and instantly knew that I had made a mistake about moving here, when I went inside into the suite I was really surprised at what I paid my hard earned money on. Inside the room there is a very old and outdated tv, the mattresses were so filthy and there were no nice bedsheets just pissed out mattresses and box springs and as soon as I sat on the bed if almost flipped me overbecause the bed railings are so old. The bathroom did not have a shower head so I had to snake my way around in the shower in order to take a decent shower.  I could not keep milk in the little refrigerator in the room because it would always spoil my milk. I went to the manager about all my concerns and the lady that works in the office just kinda shook her head and smiled a little.  I then asked the lady for new railings to hold the bed up again she shook her head and I never got them.

 In January 2012 around MLK's holiday s/o reportedly stole the washing machine from the building that I was living in. At this time I had my sons father watching my son. AGS thought that he was living with me and was trying to raise my rent I told them the situation that he was not living with me just watching his son b/c daycare was closed  for Holiday, all of a sudden no one knew that I had my son living with me and my rent was raised $100 with no new contract and they also made me pay more on my deposit.. The original Property Manager was not there anymore who could verify that I had my son with me is no longer there so I went ahead & paid the add'l money, but that is when I started doing research on Abbey Glen and that's when I learned that these people are shady characters. 
 
According to information found on the internet this property is  for people with "shoddy credit or poor, being released from prison and noone else will rent to them. The staff as I have learned from the internet are also ex-cons with charges such as burning down buildings and did time for it, this person has also receive displinary action for real estate violations, and when googling this person's name I see that the was charged with a Misdeameanor sex crime in 2007.  The other property manager also has crimes such as trespassing, aswdwisi just to name a few, this place also has been cited abt 25 time for  housing Violations. washing machines were were replaced with washing machines that you had to pay 75 cents to wash, the lease states that washing machine and dryers are included. The male property owner is
always arguing  with s/o about how he is cheating people out of money and he should be researched and prosecuted to the highest extent of the law. I left b/c of all this information I found out the sex crimes and I have a small that I do not want my chilD AROUND THIS.
