I am in insurance sales, I try many approaches to solicit potential clients. To do this, I have used several sources of sales leads. I was called by ABC Marketing who said that they could direct exclusive insurance internet leads to me. They wanted a committment of 40 leads at $10/lead, paid up front. I was not prepared to make that big of a comittment with no track record, so Rick Chiat, their salesperson told me that if I would purchase 20 leads, paid in advance, that they would guarantee satisfaction and then if I sold business off of those leads I could buy more. So we agreed on the parameters of those leads (No accidents, none or only one ticket, zip codes, certain credit score, etc...) and I gave him $200. That was four months ago, and I have recieved exactly one lead, which was way outside the discussed parameters.
Since I have a letter from them guaranteeing full satisfaction or money back, I called-no answer so I left a message. No response. So I sent an email. No response. So I called again, stating that I did not want to have to spread the word around of the way they were doing business, but that I would have no choice if they did not respond to me. That was several days ago, and no response. So if you are in the insurance business and this outfit calls you, save your money! There are plenty of ligit places to buy leads from.

I keep checking to see if they will post a rebuttal, and now I see that someone else has had an issue. Check this link:

The only time they returned my calls/emails was a few days after my original ripoff report was posted. That email stated that a cease and desist order would be forthcoming followed by a libel suit. Of course, truth is an absolute defense to libel, so I am not too worried. Just hope that others are not taken in by this company.

Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. After promising that a refund check would be mailed almost two weeks ago, no check has been forthcoming. Should I be surprised? I have sent two followup emails, and have been met with silence. I promised that I would post an update both when they promised me the check (which I did do), and when I recieved said check. Well, no check, no communication, no nothing. So I am posting THIS update. Look like they are back to deserving mention on this site. Remember this when they call you to sign you up!

Well, a few days after this report went up, I was contacted by ABC Marketing. They were not to happy with what I had said. But the bottom line is that they have stated that they will process a refund for the leads. Assuming they follow through on their word, I will post that as well, as soon as I recieve the check.
So thanks, RR! I don't know if not responding to my earlier email and calls was an oversight or on purpose, but posting my experience sure got a quick response.
