I have purchsed things on the internet for many years. I have even heard of ABE's OF MAINE and maybde even pourchased something from them many years ago. So when I saw a LG Signature C7 Series OLED65C7P 65" OLED Smart TV - 4K UltraHD television on their site for $1,996.00 I researched it then ordered it to be sure it was the same current model LG and other sell. THe preview page (before psyment) showed it came with FREE shipping and the total price was as stated $1,996.00.

I completed the order and received a confrimation from ABE'S both on their website and via email for exactlty that price.

A few hours later I recieved a email from ABE'S asking me to confrim the order but calling them which I did. I was asked ot contact Jeff Steves at extention 202. The name said it was Steve and who got on the phone asking me to confirm the order which I did. Hre started with asking and suggesting insurance just incase it breaks. I asked how much. He told me and I thought he said $23.88. My hearding isn't that bad but I repeated it to him saying "for 23 bucks sure go ahead and do it." Then he asked is he wanted any HDMI or Mounting gear to which I said no. He said okay I'm going to charge your card. I said okay, and the we talked about deliverly dates. When I got the charge and email confrimation a few minutes later it was an addtional $388.00 dollars bringing the total cost to $2384.00 for the TV. I call him back but got his maching and I left a message saying I don't need the insurance and to take it off. I had purchased it with American Express and the card that I have covers me for 90 days from the date of purchase for any breakage so the insurance wasn't necessary.

I thought it was best to call him back to confirm that I did not want the insurance. This time he answered the phone. He told me that was the price. I said, no, the price you have advertised is $1997.00. He told me listen you are from New York, I'm from New York and that is what it is. I said nicely once again that the price he had advertised was $1,996.00 and that it what I'm paying. He said "I'm not going to play games with you, the price is 2,384.00 or go buy it someplace else."

I was not rude and just said that is not what you have advertised. He said, "to bad, if oyu want it that is the price. If oyu don't want it I'll cancel it."

Wht kind of scam is this that allows someone to advertise one thing and then do something else not honoring the advertised price.

DONT NOT DO BUSINESS wtih these people. They obviously don't honor what they place on their website where they use low prices (claiming to be a sale) to reel you in. Be aware!
