I ordered, very emphatically, only the free trial offer for a small shipping charge. Instead they sent an additional shipment a month later at a charge to my credit card of about $80.00. When I complained by phone they sent me an email stating the full amount would be credited back to my credit card. IT WASN'T. Of course time had now passed and when I found no credit I called the credit card company, Capital One, which company at first credited me the $79.95 but later wrote stating they found no evidence of fraud. How stupid of Capital One. I doubt they bothered to do anything since the fraud was obvious. Also it was obvious fraud since Ripoff had other claims of similar fraud and even much worse fraud. Shows that the banks, in particular, Capital One doesn't seen to give a darn about the public being ripped off. Capital One just goes through the motions to get around Federal law.

This is complicated
And its not your fault is that almost nobody there know how to explain, when I worked there I just loved these calls
1- if you gave credit card number its not fraud.
2- therefore should be reported as a dispute (agent failure)
3- since 2009 there is a Memo that prohibits to create a Fraud report on these ''free trials'' and clearly stated that it must be transfered to the disputes dpt.
4- one of the reasons for my resign was that things like these make everyday to be harder than it should be, because customers were closing accounts for this.
In this situations I will reccommend to contact disputes dpt. and usually this charge will come off and blocked without having to change the account number.
this is defenitely a lack of knowledge by capital one employees and very light trainings they give.
