I was contacted by this ridiculous company to come in for an interview for a public relations position. When I arrived for my interview the following day, I sat in the waiting area with two other applicants (who were interviewing for different positions). After sitting in the filthy waiting area for nearly 45 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement from a receptionist, I was called in for interview. 

Once I sat down with the company's so-called President Drew Maltz, I realized that these people had basically wasted my time. He proceeded to tell me about positions that were open for door-to-door sales people and people to sell client products at trade shows. He then joked and told me, "I guess this is a form of public relations." 

If you're into direct marketing/sales and that sort of thing, fine. But I was highly upset by the deceptive advertising methods that they use to attract applicants to this company. If you're serious about getting real job in marketing (that doesn't include direct sales) or public relations, please do not waste your time applying to or interviewing with this company.

If you've been contacted by this company and you're on the fence about interviewing with them, truly think about what kind of career you're seeking to establish. If you're okay with direct marketing/sales, fine. If you've been tricked into thinking you'll be doing any other kind of marketing, you're in for a rude awakening. I know it's hard out here, but please seek out reputable agencies in your job searches. 

If you don't believe me, just Google the company's President Drew Maltz. He was arrested last month for trying to sell home improvement items door to door without a permit. If the company's own President is out selling products door to door, I can assure you that you will not be doing anything other than that.
