I can tell you that as a former collector they do not have to send you a notice that you are in collections. The only time they have to "send" you notice of the debt is if you ask them for a debt verification letter. This letter verifies the debt as being legal and collectable so to speak. Get your facts straight before you come on here and make a total jack a*s out of yourself.

#1) IF you had enough money in your account to cover your payments you wouldnt have to worry about the "order" of things.
#2) $100 in overdraft fees means roughly 3 times the merchant tried to get their payment and you didnt have the money available. WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?
#3) The fact that there is now a collection agency involved means you never attempted to make good on whatever payment was attempted...or to cover the fees at the bank in question.
