ACCUD Securities Inc Under Armour, Inc. Scam via U.S. Mail to collect Lottery money New York, New York

My mother received a letter from ACCUD Securities Inc. that was mailed from Canada. ACCUD's address on the letterhead was 330 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Their phone number is 1-438-402-4854.

It stated that she had "won" $50,000 in the Lotto North American And European Sweepstakes Lottery that was held on January 5th, 2012. This letter was her "winning final notification". Her claim number (SA-FE368-CA) had been assigned to their "North American Claims Affiliate. Inside the letter was also  check #90595 for $2305 that was written on 2/1/2012 by Under Armour, Inc. 1020 Hull Street, Suite 300, Baltimore, MD 21230. The purpose of this check was for the "payment of applicable Government taxes".

The company alleged that government taxes cannot be deducted from the winning amount because of the "insurance bond policy coverage". The tax amount of $2105 was to be paid directly to their "tax agent" Melissa Riley who is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Further all receipts were to be faxed directly to 1-866-339-2885. My mother was further instructed to not cash the check until she contacted them.

She was to keep this "winning" confidential until her claim had been processed & her cash remitted to her.

This was to prevent "double claiming or unscrupulous acts by non participants taking advantage of the program". She was to contact Sandra Foley @ 1-438-402-4854. The letter was signed by Dave Moore (Promotion Manager).
