My husband, Paul, who is a senior on a fixed income,  went to John Wilson several months ago at Accuquest in Hendersonville for a hearing test in hopes that he would be able to find some hearing aids that would help him. Paul's tried several kinds over the years and nothing has really helped him all that much.  After testing, John assured Paul that he alone had the "fix" for Paul so my husband agreed to the high price of the hearing aids, $5,000.  During that first meeting with John and subsequent meetings, John spoke in very technical terms rather than ordinary layman's language which was quite irritating and frustrating.  It also felt to me, a very well education woman, that he was trying to be intimidating and condescending.

There was supposedly a 30 day period in which Paul could return the hearing aids and receive a full and complete refund.  After wearing them for a couple of weeks and not noticing a improvement over the other hearing aids he had, he asked for a refund.  He told John that $5,000 was a lot for a senior on a fixed income to pay when there was really no value in the instruments to him.  At that point, John started in about how it was OK if my husband, Paul, didn't want to hear well.  That was certainly not the case and it was disrespectful and condescending of John to talk to my husband like that, who is also very well educated.  John continued on with that when we went out to the receptionist and told her that Paul didn't want to hear well.   Totally inappropriate.

John may be very well versed in his profession, but this is not a professional way to treat people.  I would tell people to stay away from John Wilson and this company.  And check out reviews on anyone BEFORE going to them.  If we had done that, we would NOT have gone to this man or Accuquest.
