Ackerman Security, Atlanta Customer Service? What is THAT, Jim Callahan? Atlanta Nationwide

While getting my house ready to go on the market, I am renting a cluster home. I called Ackerman & explained that I wanted to keep the service at my (old) house, but needed it activated at the new home as well. Agent said "OK-let's set up an appointment for that."  I reminded her that I was definitely keeping the security at my home, so I essentially would have 2 accounts/addresses.  She said that was fine, and said she'd send someone to my home, and he would also go to the new home to activate it.  Technician showed up on time, and just shook his head. He had been told I "...had a problem to look at..." and he couldn't turn on the new system; he was very apologetic. Told me to call Ackerman and there was another person who could activate it. The guy whom I spoke with said he'd send (Ben) out to activate it.

Well, Ben calls me 2 hours before appointment to tell me he is just the sales person; Ackerman can't send someone to turn on the system until next week!  No apologies, no "sorry there was a miscommunication..." NOPE. By this time, I had re-arranged my schedule twice for them, and asked to speak to a supervisor, who of course said there was nothing he could do...I'd have to wait up to 10 days for this! I said OK, I'm done w/Ackerman and they connected me to some less-than-polite woman who said they won't cancel until I send them a letter. Well, Jim Callahan and all you Ackerman idiots, I most certainly will send you a letter. BTW, your customer service sucks...and EMT is going to activate my alarm system AND take over the alarm at my old house, also. Funny how they could do all that with one phone call.
