ACM Records is a SCAM!  They are con artists and NOT a real record label. Eve Adams is the owner of the label, and leads most communication and gets you to sign a very vague contract, stating basically that she owns all your music, takes %50 of everything without offering ANYTHING and bring NOTHING to the table, no investment of Money, time or real opportunities and support. Most of the stuff that they claim on the website is also fraudulent. She has no clue on how a real label operates!

Please beware of this "label" and DO NOT do business with them!

Fraudulent Claim

AUTHOR: musicman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, July 13, 2012

Dear Disgruntled Artist, The claim is totally fraudulent and without merit. ACM has always conducted business ethically and within the boundaries of the law.

Simple advise to all artists, read, negotiate and seek legal advise before signing a contract, not after. Once your signatures are on a legally binding agreement you are obligated to what's in the contract. No one forces anyone to sign a deal.

Scam "record label" ACM-Don't fall for their scam

AUTHOR: Anton2313 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 03, 2012

I had a business relationship with ACM and want to confirm that it is COMPLETELY a TOTAL SCAM!
Without any knowledge on how music industry operates, they think they are entitled to everything without investing neither effort nor money. Completely oblivious to the industry, one of the emails we got is them asking to come up with a song in a day to submit to some commercial contest, this is what they call "we will license and place your music in film and tv" This is sad but quit funny. You can find these contest everywhere, on sonicbids, on Jango Airplay, on reverb nation.... So why would you need ACM to submit for you? Just to give them half of your money? And what kind of an artist can come up with a song in one day and professionally record it, mix it, master it and send it off?
So lets see, if you spend over 20,000 recording a CD, spend over 5,000 on promotion, 2,000 on a radio campaign, and then ACM comes along and tricks you into signing a "publishing deal" to place music in film and tv, then when you sing it, they want you to sign a "record contract" now keep in mind, they are offering you ZERO! $0!!! No marketing plan, no touring support, just a 360, they want to take money off your record sales, digital downloads, merch, touring... how does this make sense??? And if you don't sing this record contract, they go ahead and illegally distribute your music! Meanwhile you are still putting money into promotion, music videos.... ACM DOES NOTHING and claim they have rights to your music???
STAY CLEAR! AND THEY WILL BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE VERY SOON!

ACM Records is NOT a scam.

AUTHOR: Grace Neatsy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 03, 2012

I have done business in the past with ACM Records and I was quite shocked to find it being slandered so by a consumer. I get the feeling that the consumer making the complaint is a disgruntled artist from the label. A label cannot be apologetic to a disgruntled artist that feels the world owes them a living. All this complaint sounds like is someone who expects the world. Unless you are Michael Jackson you should not expect to be treated like royalty.

ACM Records is a business. I have had business dealings with the company for quite some time and they have always been fair, easy to work with, and pleasant to deal with. As anyone in the industry knows, contracts can be reviewed and negotiated on both sides. Every artist has the right to seek legal counsel themselves and have a contract reviewed before anything is signed. If the consumer feels that their contract was vague, then they should have exercised their rights and sought counsel to review any material before signing. If the contract was vague, you should have sought out counsel and waited to sign. Maybe you need to accept the consequences from you actions instead of complaining about it being bad business.

I will continue to work with ACM records in the future and I have no complaints about their business ethics.
