I was looking for a specific item online, through Google. One of the choices was acostmall.com. The price was $50. That was less that half regular price! I went to their website and proceeded to place my order. The checkout process was strange. It said:

"Click on the payment button below and you'll be directed to Amazon to checkout.

Your charge will appear as: Sony Playstation Network Card - $50 (online game code)

This is normal and will allow us to process your order without any taxes and you'll receive an additional 1 cent discount from Amazon."

Then it showed the Visa, MC, American Express and Discover card logos and showed the "Checkout with Amazon" link.

Then it said :

"Click on the 'BUY AND GET CODE'

Follow the checkout instructions displayed on screen by Amazon and in a few minutes you'll receive an email that contains the PSN code.

Please forward it to : paymenst@acostmall.com

After your email is received in 24 hours we'll update your order status and ship your order."

I thought to myself "Now WHY would they be asking you to buy a Sony Playstation Network Card to use as their payment? It makes no sense."

So I called Amazon. The lady I spoke to said that some merchants do use Amazon to collect their payments BUT they do NOT ask you to buy a PSN card and forward the code to them. She said that Amazon is in the process of trying to get acostmall.com shut down. (For obvious reasons....they are using Amazon's good name to run a scam!")

My phone call to Amazon was TONIGHT, after I read the previous report on here of acostmall being a scam. Today is August 30, 2013.

I also read the post that stated the person always gets their stuff. Well maybe they only scam some people. Who knows. BUT all I know is THEY are NOT going to scam me. My uncle used to say...If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

ACOSTMALL.COM IS A SCAM!!
