I signed up for the membership and had an ABG Home Party on December 13th. I had 4 people that wanted to sign up, but, because of the holidays, funds were low and so I said I would put it on my credit card and they would pay me back in cash, which they all did!! I had another member do the same thing on December 17th. That's 5 total @ $264.85 each!!

As time went on, each of these members tried using their benefit cards to no avail. One tried to use the prescription card at Publix, they wouldn't take it. Another tried using it at her Doctors' office, he wouldn't take it and she also handed it to the pharmacy she goes to, they wouldn't accept it either! These were all providers that were listed that supposedly honored the discount card. The first individual also had to have her car towed, called the number on her card, only to be told she wasn't in the system by name or membership number!!! There's 2 out of the 5 that wanted their money back. The third went to her 'discount' site to buy a television, only to go to another site outside of her discount site and find a better price without the rebate!!! That's number 3 that wanted a refund. The 4th person bought the membership mainly because she spends so much money at Walmart. We were enticed on live calls, to go thru our sites to Walmart, purchase a "Gift Card", then use it at Walmart for the shopping you were going to do anyway. At the end of the month, you will recieve a rebate for all the gift card totals you purchased. Later we find out this is not so. That's 4 down!! Number 5 was upset when he received the Airfare Coupons. We were told that we were getting 12 $100.00 'coupons', transferrable. We were lead to believe that we could give these as gifts for anyone to be able to get $100 off their next airline tickets. When they came, they were 'rebates' and on a sliding scale, which means that if you spend $200 on a ticket, you get a $25 'rebate', if you spend $300 on a ticket, you get so much, and only if you spend $500 on a ticket you get $100 'rebate'. Not only that, you have to use their specific Travel Agency! So, in essence they were NOT $1200, (12x $100), in value as they stated, they could be $300 worth (12 x $25.00). Oh, and you couldn't use them right away as they inferred. You had to wait until you took your trip, gather your ticket, itinerary and such and mail everything in, then you would recieve your credit in 30 to 90 days. HOGWASH!!
So, needless to say, my group fell apart, they wanted their money back, and rightfully so. I told them to gather their packages, give them to me, and I would send them all in at the same time so everything was togehter. They signed letters with thier personal information, member numbers and addresses and I sent the package overnight. It was received by the company on January 2, 2009. Plenty of time within the 30 day window. As we called and called to check on the status, we were told we had to wait 7 to 10 business days, so we did. The final call left me with a sick feeling in my stomach!!
They said the refunds were denied because of 'stacking'. I didn't even know what that meant and apparently neither did 3 individuals at the Home Office. They were just reading the notes on the computer.

Many phone calls later, I was told that, because I used the same credit card, THEY weren't getting THEIR money back!! I was livid. If you're not allowed to use a credit card that's already in the system, then THEIR system should be set up to reject it PRIOR to the company getting the money. They had no problem taking the money, just honoring their 30-day Money Back Guarantee!!
In all honesty, I did recive a $50 dollar commission per member ($250.00) paid to me. That's no where near the $1324.25 total due to these poor members.

Again, don't change the rules as you go. Don't allow the system to ACCEPT a credit card more than once, or gie these guys their money back!!!!

I READ YOUR SITUATION AND AM VERY SADDENED BY IT, I HAVE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION A NUMBER OF TIMES AND THANK GOD FOR MY VISA DEBIT CARD. I ALWAYS DISPUTE IT WITH THE BANK AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THEY SAY TO YOU OR MAKE YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK!NOT SO VISA HAS GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK EACH TIME.........SO TRY GOING TO YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND YOUR BANK..WHENEVER I DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS I PUT IT ON MY VISA DEBIT CARD, IF THEY DON'T PAN OUT I DISPUTE IT WITH THE BANK AND THEY GET ME MY MONEY..YOU JUST CAN'T TRUST ANYONE ANYMORE SO IT IS BEST NOT TO DO IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE I GIVE IT TIME AND WATCH THE COMPNY BEFORE JUMPING RIGHT IN..70 PERCENT OF THEM ARE ALL JUNK.....TAKE CARE HOPE THAT THIS HELPS.
