I contacted Spa Man Spas and Mike, the owner, came out. He dismantled the cover around the spa and locaated 2 leaks. He explained re-plumbing these to fix them and quoted about 3 hours of work and $89.00 per hour. Then he felt the main pump and said because it was hot it needed replaced. I told him I was not sure about replacing it and it would depend on the price. He said they would try to get the pump at or near cost due to the other labor involved in fixing the leaks.
Two weeks later I got called and told it would be $&33.00 to replace the pump and now the leaks would only be glued as the "first step to try to stop the leak." Worried now at the $595.00 price of the pump I expressed this to Mike and was told if I didn't want the pum[ they woould just fix the leaks. He was supposed to come to do the work on Thursday between 12PM and 5pm. He called at 5:10. The spa was not completely drained so he disconnected the plumbing at the pump and said he would be back "first thing in the morning." He did not Show the next day, or the next, or the next so I called on Monday. Only the talk of legal action even got him to return my calls.
He will not come out to put the spa back inthe the condition it was or repair the leaks because he "is out $450.00 for the pump." So now I am out $300.00 of deposit money and a torn apart spa. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY nor trust anything they tell you. BEWARE!!

I am an employee of Spa Man Spas and the complaint should be aimed at the CORRECT company. Isn't it LIABLE or is that SLANDER when an accusation is put out for the entire world to see and "OOPS" I named the wrong guys.
The "Mike" you are referring to is the owner of "Arizona Spa Repair" of which has NOTHING to do with Spa Man Spas.
Does the writer of the report have the huevos to retract and apologize to the good company he slandered? Let's just say we won't hold our collective breaths.
Thank you all for not believing everything you read and waiting to see both sides of the story.

I learned where Mike purchased the pump that was in dispute here and learned they had a 90 day return policy. I offered to pay the shipping (both ways) to return the pump so no one would lose any money and then have Spa Man Saps fix the leak they were originally called for and have $300 of my money for. Mike refused.
Why would he refuse a refund on the pump, all the shipping paid and to just do the work he accepted $300 for? Only thing I can come up with is NOW he can return the pump and he has my $300, less the shipping of the pump, and doesn't have to do any work. Great customer sevice and nice business practices huh? Guess small claims is next!
