ACS Incorp Debt recovery under FDCP Act Subject-Lawsuit ACSY 27910 Internet

I received an email today that stated that I owe $956.45. I have 12 hours to respond to the email or to call the number that they provided. Ir also stated that my assets will be seized and my wages garnished. I called the number to see what this was all about and an answering machine was reached that said that the number is not receiving any calls at this time and to leave a message.

To my understanding, a certified letter is sent to a physical address and not via email. Also I recently got married and changed my last name so I have no financial obligations with my new last name which they claim to have on file. I don't like the idea that they may possibly have my social security or have gained access to it.

To be surprised with an email like this is not what I was looking forward to. I don't want to be harassed by bogus legal actions. This needed to stop because there are innocent people out there that would believe this email and call to pay without knowing what it is.
