I bought a 2001 F250 4x4 Truck From Action Auto Sales in early September 08. During the sales and negotiation process, I dealt with Danny or Daniel and he was quite attentive answering all of my questions (or so I thought). He assured me that the vehicle had been smog checked and passed with flying colors. He also assured me that the vehicle was in perfect condition being as though it only had 21K miles on it and that he drove it frequently.

During the final closing deal, he knew I had to drive back home about 300 miles so he mentioned that there was no need in me purchasing a 200 mile buy- back warranty. He also conveniently said that there was no need in purchasing an extended warranty as the vehicle was in perfect condition.

Well sure enough, less than 200 miles into my trip back home the service light went on and the gauges started bouncing all over the place. The idle speed went from 2500 RPMs to 5500 RPMs and bouncing back and forth. I was worried sick that I wouldn't even make it home now. I immediately called him on his cell phone with urgent messages but he (once attentive to my every call) never picked up the phone. It went to voicemail about 5-6 times and I left him repeated urgent voicemails, but he never once returned my call. I called the office but his mother (another lying con-artist (masquerading as a respectful business person) said that he was not available and that she would relay the message to him immediately. Well needless to say he never called me back.

Once in town, I took the truck into a Service shop and they told me that the transmission sensor was completely off. Just to take a look at it and POSSIBLY fix this would cost me over $1800.00and this would still not guarantee that it would be fixed as the entire shaft would need to be replaced. Daniel clearly knew this was an issue, but he sold me the vehicle and lied to me anyways. He must have found a way to fudge the smog check and sell me this vehicle anyways. I have been calling him ever since and he now conveniently has his business line forwarded to his cell phone -- which he does not pick up.

I am going to file a formal complaint to the DMV to have his business license removed and I would do just about anything to get my money back. NEVER EVER EVER trust this lying FAMILY con-artist SLIMY Business. I just read another report that another gentleman also had a issue with them as you can see he also had to spend 3000 dollars to get his vehicle fixed as well.

I Rest My Case.

AUTHOR: Action Auto - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 07, 2009

My name is Justin, and I am the manager of the repair facility across the street from the sales lot with the same name. I do remember this car and the situation surrounding it. It is true the car was driven by Charlene, the part owner of the dealership, and mother of Danny. She drove the car as primary transportation for 5-7 months. When the car was sold we performed a quality/safety inspection, and smog check, which the car passed. You cannot falsely smog a car, period. The car had 85k plus miles on it as stated by the consumer. Its not a new car, things are bound to break. Unfortunately this did happen within days of the car being sold. If the problem was present at the time of sale the car would not have passed the smog check due to the check engine light being on (automatic fail). The consumer goes on to state he took the car to Mercedes "a while later", did he repair the light or not? The Mercedes dealer told him he needed oxygen sensors and a cat converter. This makes perfect sense, if the oxygen sensor isn't functioning properly it will destroy the converter. A simple $200-$300 repair of the sensor could have prevented the damage to the expensive converter. The dealer also told the consumer the car would not have passed smog if the converter was bad. TRUE! This is proof the converter and sensor were in perfect working order at the time of sale. Therefore I rest my case.
