Another Australian "businessman" has emerged from the BRAD SUGARS school of dishonesty. Simon Johnson has double listed as an ACTION COACH and under his own business name ELEVATE BUSINESS SERVICES.
ELEVATE BUSINESS SERVICES has all the same marketing gaff as ACTION COACHING, surprise, surprise.
But he also makes some outrageous claims about his qualifications:
Here is an extract from his webpage:
"... I am in business for one very simple reason, to give me the flexibility and lifestyle to be the best dad I can be, that means giving my wife and kids as much time and opportunity they could ever need to turn their dreams and aspirations into reality..." (Warm fuzzy Im a father too stuff, typical conman statement)
Simon is a certified Business Coach with ActionCOACH,(meaning he PAID for a franchise) the World's #1 Business Coaching Franchise (Entrepreneur Magazine, Jan. 2004 & 2005),(and completely discredited now) and is the owner of other businesses within Australia.(really? which ones?) Simon was ranked in the top 100 of all Action coaches worldwide in April 2008 achieving #8 out of over 1000. (not a great claim to fame considering their reputation)
Simon holds a degree in FInance & Law, ( doesnt say which University, wont produce any documentation) has succesfully owned and operated one of Australia's largest and most successful Consumer Retail Franchises when he was just 21 (again no evidence, which franchise? does he think we are all stupid?) and has been a global Marketing manager for one of the world's largest consumer electronics companies. (again no direct evidence, wont name the company, dont bother asking for evidence)
To date Simon has personally coached/mentored over 50 business owners and has trained hundred's ranging through dozens of industries. (oh yeah like Ben Cooper - Real Estate New Zealand, Anthony Jeffcoat - All AV, Shane Hillard - Cafe Surry Hills....I mean give us a break, again, not one named company in the testimonials)
He has successfully self published a business book "Starting from Scratch" (boxes of which lay dusty in his garage)and is fast building a business legacy to hand over to his kids and family (someone give us a bucket, the family man rave is making us dry reach.)
Be warned, this guy is dangerously stupid and prowling for Bogans and idiots to milk fees from.

First thank you to a few people for bringing this to my attention.
Rip Off report its great that you provide an open forum for people with concerns and the chance for replies.
I want to apologise to anyone for any inconvenience created by not having enough detail on my website.
I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2003/04 with a Bachelor of Finance.
I was a franchisee in the Harvey Norman Group a few days before my 22nd birthday in 2004.
I was employed by Samsung Electronics South East Asia regional office in 2005.
That should cover the details for my CV and they have been clarified on my coaching website.
ActionCOACH is a license based franchise. Members have other business interests. My company is Elevate Business Services.
When my clients are kind enough to send me written or recorded testimonials I place them on my website. Where possible and when appropriate I publish these kind remarks on my site. At all of my events my clients can be seen and spoken to, the invitation is always open.
One thing I wont be apologising for is talking about my kids and family. They are who I am. Anybody who really knowme or has actually met me will know what I am talking about.

This report is bogus.
I know Simon well. I've known him as a coach, and as a friend for 3 years. (Yes, that makes me biased... but I know if you're reading this you're interested in the truth not the lie, and in fact not fiction).
Is Simon one of the top coaches in Action? Yes. I know more than 40 of them, and he's the guy I would hire.
About his website, and trading under Elevate? You've gotta have a registered business to buy the Action Franchise. That's not scamming, that's just the legal requirements.
Sorry, but let's not blow things out of proportion.
Not sure if you've actually READ the 'starting from scratch pack', or are just making wild comments to bring someone down and make yourself feel good. I read it. It's got tons of practical information, solid advice, and references and for people starting up a small business in Australia.
Don't say that NONE of the testimonials on his site have a business name, when you even quoted the name "All AV" yourself. Maybe more should have a business name, but it's hardly a crime, and your facts are simply inaccurate.
Lastly, the guy massively loves his kids. Perhaps you think it's unprofessional to talk about them on your site or that he's using them to bond or make you trust him, but my experience is that he talks about his family more than anything, and his kids are crazy about him. But then, you should know that, since apparently you've been secretly looking in his garage.
I'm sure you really want to help people by writing on this site... Perhaps ask him to clarify the information and references you need.
Not sure who you are or what your experience has been... I know a LOT of business coaches, and Simon is one of the few I would hire to help grow my business.
I hope this helps give people a balanced perspective.
