Last April the hull of my 2006 Action Craft 1710 TPS skiff cracked - six years into the 10-year hull warranty.  This was clearly the result of a manufacturing defect - the stringers had separated from the hull bottom.  The hull had probably been leaking for several years.

Upon learning that AC was back in business, I contacted Chad Kovarik the new owner about the repair.  I was told up front that he was not able to honor the old AC warranty, but would work with me on the repair - and he did.  They did a first class job on the hull and stringers for a very low price, and warranteed the work for two years.  The boat perfromance is now back to where it should be.

Chad appears to be an honest guy committed to getting AC back to where it was 10 years ago.  From what I saw at the plant, they are building some quality boats.  I know several customers were ripped off in the past, but from my perspective, they deserve a another chance.
